Brendan's Encounter

I did make it to the free show at Nathan Phillips Square, and man was it strange. Through all the car trouble my mom had I still got their by subway just in time. Now to the weird part. I don't think they promoted this show to well and I was the one to let the Official Sandbox Webpage know of the concert, anyways when I got their there was I licensed seating section filled with people, most of whom I don't think knew sandbox. but, just came out to the square. there wasn't to big of a crowd, maybe 10 people between the ages of 14-25 in the floor section who, actually looked interested in the concert. So... sandbox. opened with "Carry" and only a few seconds into the song about 6 drunken or stoned people between 65 and 70 years old started dancing idiotically on the floor, the band was laughing hysterically, I don't think they'd ever seen anything like that before. during the last verse Paul was even stumbling through the words because he was laughing so hard. That along with one of the old ladies who, wasn't in the best shape of her life, flashing the stage and the audience. And even someone booing the band as he walked by with Paul's sarcastic response " I was just doing my best sir." I don't know if you were there or not but, just letting you know it was a show I'll never forget. And of course sandbox. was excellent.
Thanx,
