Sandbox's Hometown New Glasgow

A familiar place that I'm thinking of keeps me warm...

What exactly can you say about a small town like New Glasgow? Not too much actually. To tell you the truth, New Glasgow isn't really small perse. For the people who live in the town or around it, it actually seems quite large. Why you ask? Cause compared to the towns around it, it's the biggest thing for miles around. With towns like Antigonish, Barney's River, Pictou, Thorburn and Sherbrooke surrounding it (Like you've ever heard of any those places unless you're from the area!), you can't help but think New Glasgow is big in comparison. But size doesn't matter anyways, right?

New Glasgow is situated on the Trans Canada Highway in Nova Scotia. What that means is you could follow the same road all the way from say, Vancouver, and eventually reach New Glasgow... but you'd be really tired by then and I doubt you'd care anymore where you were. But if you were still conscious, you'd notice that New Glasgow has, wow, not one, not two, no, not even three but four whole exits all its own off the TCH. So even if you miss the first 3 exits, you still have one last chance to visit the wonderful town. The actual section of highway that it is located on is called the "Sunrise Trail".

Considering New Glasgow isn't exactly big (as we said before), surprisingly they have quite the tourist industry. No actually, I'm just kidding. The main tourist attraction in New Glasgow is the Museum of Industry, a sprawling building that covers quite a bit of ground space, but isn't really that interesting... but it is something to do in New Glasgow, so you can't complain. There's always the big Canadian Tire or the big Zellers store too if you're really bored.

Nowadays, not even all of Sandbox live in New Glasgow. Actually, only 2 members still reside there. But the rest live close by in neighbouring cities such as Thorburn, which is really only about 10 minutes away. So, if you're looking for a road trip and you're extremely bored driving through Nova Scotia, stop off in New Glasgow. If for nothing else, there's a few gas stations there...
