Cosplay: Red Enamel Coat (X-Japan
Memorial Photoalbum 1993)
On the 22nd of September 1997 I had been in New York,
knowing of nothing evil. When I came home I had tons of letters and emails
from my friends in Japan telling me X was no more... what a shock! Soon
after they decided on the Last Live and of course I had to go there...
meanwhile money was not such a problem anymore, because I had graduated
and found a job, so I took two weeks holidays and flew to Japan again...
The other years before it had always been crowded
at Tokyo Dome of course but this year was incredible! So many people in
front of the hall that you almost could not make your way through... I
had the impression it was double compared to previous years! I guess some
60.000 instead of 50.000 were there.
It was of course hard to get a ticket, but a friend
of mine had taken care of that and we even got an arena seat! Not in the
front but quite a good seat. Before the concert I checked these shops in
Shinjuku where I had bought a cheap ticket for the X concert one year ago
and this time they had hardly any and if they had no arena at all, for
1st floor they wanted about 50.000 Yen per seat!!!! I don't know how much
they would have wanted for an arena seat and I don't want to know either!
Well... I guess most of you have seen the Last Live
on TV... the stage was very different compared to the former years... this
time the stage was open and there were even visitors behind it! I heard
that from behind the stage you couldn't see anything and that some had
not seen hide chan at all!!
Well my seat was pretty close to the end of the substage...
unfortunately hide chan never came till the end of the substage...tears...
but I had a damn good view on Yoshiki's drum solo...
As you can imagine the atmosphere was different from
the former years... almost everybody was crying (including myself) and
not only at the ballads but even at "kurenai" or "Orgasm" and of course
at "X"... This time I did not cry because I was happy but because I was
sad... and all the other fans with me of course. This time there was no
Heath and hide chan solo corner and no count down for New Year... tears...
Well I guess everybody*s emotions were flying high
and low...
But I always thought... well... at least we have
hide chan left who will work on his solo! Who could have known that a few
months later.... many tears...
The Last Live was the last time any of us saw hide
chan on stage... I will never forget it and all the great times that I
had thanxxx to hide chan!
hide chan's and X music will live on in our hearts
forever!!!!
