Cosplay: Black military (Psychommunity
Tour Pamphlet)
This was the first time I saw
X and it was my first time in Tokyo Dome. I still lived in Fukuoka and
went to Tokyo for two weeks for Christmas and New Year. Meanwhile I had
joined the X-Japan fan club and had ordered a ticket for the 30th. My Japanese
was still not the best so I did not understand all the Japanese application
forms for the concert and did not know that I could have ordered tickets
for both days! (laugh) So I had ordered only one ticket for the 30th. Then
in November there was the "ippan hatsubai" the general sales of the tickets
and I had lined up in front of Fukuoka's Ticket Peer all night! (laugh)
in order to get my ticket for the 31st ... I managed to get one...
Well, on the 30th it was my
first time to do cosplay and it was a big success... suddenly nobody asked
me anymore whether I was really hide chan fan or whether the strange foreigner
had mistaken the concert. This time everybody believed I am hide chan and
X fanatic!
Tokyo Dome is very impressive,
veryyyyy big... but this also means that the stage is damn far away and
that you cannot really see what's going on there, you have to look at the
screen. But the atmosphere in Tokyo Dome is great.... 50.000 people crazy
for X at the same spot! They had two major screens this time and five mini
screens above the stage depicting the five members... that means one could
stare at one's favorite all the time!!! (laugh)... very nice... and this
time Iguana really freaked.! In the row in front of me was a fanatic Yoshiki
fan who screamed all the three and a half hours Yoshiki's name and nothing
else. Since I was in the back of the arena we were close to the spot where
Yoshiki did his drum solo in the middle of the arena and when he appeared
there the girl in front of me completely freaked and tried to reach the
podium and fought with the security guards! It was quite impressive. Well,
though being hide chan fan I am of course X fan also and it made me a little
bit angry that this girl seemed to ignore all the other X members, so I
started to scream hide chan's name against her Yoshiki screaming! (laugh)...
We had a very nice battle. At the end of the concert the girl fainted and
had to be carried out of the hall on a stretcher by two security guys!
It was really amazing! So this was my first X experience and Tokyo dome
had been shaken and rattled through by the incredible power of X!!
As for the stage performance
it was fantastic! The highlights were the "unplugged" performance of "Rose
of Pain", starring hide chan, Pata and Toshi. "Rose of Pain" has never
been so beautiful! And of course hide chan's solo corner "hide no heya".
Together with Pata and the dancers he likes so much hide chan did "Draw
the Line" by Aerosmith!!! Wow!!!
And another highlight! That
evening was also the night of the Year End Music Station Special and they
had a live connection to Tokyo Dome, so X performed Rusty Nail and this
performance was broadcasted live to the whole country. Since X has never
published a video from the Blue and White night this Rusty Nail performance
was the only bit from these Tokyo Dome two days that are accessible to
the public. I wish X would release a video from this Tokyo Dome concert!!!
Well... I'm not 100% correct. Parts of these two concerts are also in the
Sega Saturn X video game, but that was only a limited edition and cannot
be bought now anymore... tears...
