N'SYNC
Hailing from Orlando, Fla., 'N Sync is a young, attractive, all-male dance-pop "boygroup" in the tradition of New Kids on the Block, Take That, and the Backstreet Boys -- in fact, they're managed and produced by the same organization that created the Backstreet Boys. Comprising Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, and Lance Bass, who hail from various American cities and began their individual careers in acting and modeling, the vocal quintet built a huge following in continental Europe, especially Germany and the Netherlands, before making their U.S. debut in 1998 with 'N Sync. In 2000, the group's second album, No Strings Attached, shattered sales records by selling an astounding 2.4 million copies during the first week of its release.
