My name's Maria, my birthday is November 12, 1980 and I live somewhere out
there on this beautiful planet we all share. I've liked the Chili Peppers since about
'88 or '89, but really fell in -- no not fell in, more like plunged head first and
crashed into- love with them in '99. I'm a Rockinfreak. I'm the type of person that
would wait outside in the snow, rain, hurricaine, fire, blizzard, whatever to get
tickets to their show. Why am I so crazy about them? To tell you the truth I don't
really know...They're like an addiction that you can't go to rehab for...a good
addiction though. I'm addicted to the music. Music is something everyone
needs in their lives.
Their music is nourishment to my brain and soul. I soak it up like a thirsty
plant soaks up water. If life was a free fall from an airplane, their music
would be my parachute. When I read the lyrics to their songs I understand
them completely as if I had written them. They run through my veins like blood
and have become a big part of my life. Maybe I find the Chili Peppers so appealing
because I share the same views as them. Maybe because they're searching to
find themselves like I am. Maybe because they make me feel better when I'm
down and give me energy when I'm tired. Maybe it's their electrifying shows.
Or maybe it's the socks and their fearlessness when it comes to sexuality.
I can sit here and type all day and try to explain my affection towards one of
the funkiest, best, freshest, and real bands out there, but I think you get the gist.
To me they are the best set of musical artists that has ever come together and I
feel privilaged to be able to make a site dedicated to them. This site was done with
a whole lot of appreciation and love and I hope all my fellow fans and visitors enjoy it.
