Storyline

"Moon Gate's awakening was an unnatural happening, a gigantic force." Using the DNA company, O.M.G. (Operation Moon Gate) became a weapon of vast destruction but from the disentangled DNA; RNA, (a force who were confronting them) gained a sudden increase in power. Both of them claimed right of ownership to the nine industrial plants from the strong point of their Virtuaroid development. However, no one saw the signs of their convergence as they fought around the plants. In the year V.C.a4, the reality was that they were finally approaching the climax of their war.

Suddenly however, the nineth plant which held the main system of the TANGRAM (Space Time Causation Control Mechanism) vanished from the normal space-time continuum! Considering that it had the ability to operate the Moon Gate, the loss of this plant was the advent of catastrophic danger to Earth. You must search for Tangram! The person who is able to discover and possess the missing nineth plant will certainly be able to seize the initiative in the war's stalemate situation.

Both factions, DNA and RNA posses Virtuaroid cyber troopers. However, every area of their comprehensive reorganisation has evolved on a scale that has never been seen before! Now the curtain has been ripped down and the act begins for a new battle!"

So, to sum things up, it seems DNA and RNA are at war, and whoever can recover the missing ninth plant "Tangram" first, will become victorious.

Brief History of Virtual On Singapore

Lost Generation 0.3
Era of Cyber Sleed
A.D. Early 1994
Sometime in early 1994, we got to play Cyber Sleed from Namco, the first game ever to use a twin flight stick system to pilot a vehicle that shoots a primary weapon ( unlimited ) and missles ( which require refilling by power ups ) to kill off your opponent. It comes in two views, close-up and over-head.
Lost Generation 0.6
Era of Cypber Commando
A.D. Late 1994
Late 1994, our arcade ( Funland Ang Mo Kio) got a pair of Cyber Commando from Namco, a sequel to Cyber Sleed. Only the graphics changed, with slight difference to the gameplay. My secondary school friends and I love the game. We had Saturdays games and tried to blast each other off the screen.
VO Generation 1
The first comers
A.D. Mid 1995
Mid-1995, the Cyber Commando machine got replaced by Virtual On Operation Moongate, an new offering from SEGA. The graphics is very impressive but the game is very hard to learn. We couldn't get past Dorkas very often and   the most powerful move was side dash beam rifle.
VO Generation 2
The rise of Emerald
A.D. Early 1996 - Mid 1997
Tan Hwee Ping was taught by Tirah Dragonfire how to play the game and bravo ! Hwee Ping (EVA) taught her friends, Mark (SKY) and a whole range of players joined her in the sudden advance in VOOM. Most of the tricks were uncovered then. They played at Emerald funland, hence called the Emerald players. Jun Ming went as far as calling them the Grand Masters, a title for their advance skills relative to most other players.
VO Generation 3
The rise of Ang Mo Kio
A.D. Mid 1997 - Mid 1998
Most of the Emerald player call it quits after mid 1997, and a small group serious VOOM players started to surface in Ang Mo Kio Funland. Most of the players came from the Secondary schools nearby, with a number of them from Ang Mo Kio Secondary.

By Sepetember 1997, we could beat most players from Bedok, Chinatown Point and some other smaller arcades players. We had our first taste of VOOT, a 38% beta at JAMMA at Suntec. Cypher was damn cool, with so many high damage daggers flying around. In the show, we contacted for the first time, a number of Emerald players.

In Nov-Dec 1997, Gerald, an Emerald player came down to Ang Mo Kio every weekend to play with us. We got a major boost in experience and skill in the period. When we could finally beat him consistantly, he disappeared...heheehehee.

In March 1998, Isami, a Japan player from Kyoto who was in his school holidays, came down to Ang Mo Kio funland and played with us for almost 2 weeks. He was 27th in Japan, 5th in Kyoto ! He is very good in Temjin and beaten most of us into helpless plup in no time. We were taught the fine tricks like big-4, machine gun, moon-walking, more freeze cancels, counter moves and advance circular slicing.

By May, I believe that no one else in Singapore were a match to Ang Mo Kio players.

VO Generation 4
The SiVOC
A.D. Mid 1998 - ?
The Golden age of VOOM ended when Jia Khang discovered a 98% beta VOOT in Marina South. Shortly after, in about 2 weeks, the VOOM machines in Ang Mo Kio Funland was replaced by 2 pairs of VOOT !

The new gameplay killed off lots of experts of VOOM. A new generation of experts appears. Pilots all over the island unite !

By August 1998, the Singapore Virtual On Club is finally opertational, with tournaments being held regularly.

In 19 November 1998, we got our major victory in crashing the pricing of VOOT. We managed to convince Desmond, the manager of AMK funland to bring the price down to 1 credit per game, 2/2 VS AI and human !!! Perhapes the cheapest in the world ?
