School Years & Childhood Of Bill Gates

    October 28th 1955, Bill Gates was born in Seatle Washington with the title: William Henry Gates III. 1967 he attended Lakeside School. At the age of 8, Gates read the encyclopedia from A-P. He eventually realized that it was pointless and he stopped reading it. A year later the school decided to invest in computer time for it's students. In 1969, Bill Gates & Paul Allen team up with two other classmates to form the Lakeside Programmers Group. A couple years later, the Lakeside Programmers Group wrote a payroll program for a local business, Information Sciences Inc. This is Gates first real business deal.

    1973, Bill Gates attended Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In late 1974 Paul Allen notices an article about a home omputer kit, the Altair 8800. Gates & Allen contacted Ed Roberts of MITS to say they have a form of the programming language BASIC. Gates finished the BASIC language in February the next year and later signs a deal with MITS about using their BASIC language.

    Microsoft is set up in Albuquerque, New Mexico in April of 1975. At the age of 21, Bill Gates dropped out of Harvard University to work full time with his company, Microsoft.
