GAME DESCRIPTION
(From agn3d.com)
Microsoft announced today the latest addition to the Madness series
of racing games: Midtown Madness. Midtown Madness lets players driver ten
different vehicles (different is probably an understatement) through a
race set in the mean streets of Chicago. Players choose from a total of
ten vehicles - from new and classic Ford Mustangs to police cruisers, to
the 18-wheeler semi-truck.

Players take their favorite vehicles and drive them through the living streets of Chicago, complete with interactive scenery and land marks like Wrigley Field, Meigs Field Airport and the Sears Tower. Players also get the chance to interact with the environment while racing, driving through city neighborhoods, dealing with bad weather, pedestrians, the police, (if you ever saw the Blues Brothers you can dig it) and traffic jams.
Midtown Madness also features five different play modes ranging from racing scenario checkpoints to free-form circuits, and an online game mode called cops and robbers. Midtown Madness is scheduled for a retail release in June 1998.
