What emulators support SNES joypads
and what adapter do they use?

Emulators that support SNES joypads

The following emulators support the use of SNES joypads, without the need for utilities such as SNESKey or Direct Pad Pro

NeoDANJI  Neo-Geo system emulator.  Supports 2 SNES joypads using the SNESKey adapter.  Supports LPT 1 only.
BRSMS  Sega Master System & Game Gear emulator.  Supports 1 SNES joypad using the SNESKey adapter.   Supports LPT 1 only.
DTMNT (Dave's TMNT emulator):   TMNT Arcade machine emulator.  Supports up to 4 SNES joypads using the SNESKey adapter.  2 joypads on LPT 1, 2 joypads on LPT 2.
ZSNES:  Super Nintendo emulator.   Supports up to 4 SNES joypads using the SNESKey adapter.  2 joypads on LPT 1, 2 joypads on LPT 2.
Callus:  Multi Arcade machine emulator.  Supports up to 2 SNES joypads using the SNESKey adapter.
RAINE:  Multi Arcade machine emulator.   Supports up to 2 SNES joypads using the SNESKey adapter.
SNES9x:  Super Nintendo emulator.   Supports up to 6 (?) SNES joypads using the SNESPro adapter.  Only version 0.96 supports SNES joypads.  It seems to have been dropped in later versions.   (Testing this myself with my SNESKey adapter, it still seemed to work fine for up to 2 joypads.  Also, setting SNES joypads on is only available by editing the SNES9X.INI file.)
NO$GMB:  Gameboy emulator.  Supports up to 4 SNES joypads using the SNESKey adapter.  All 4 joypads on the one adapter.
FWNES:  Nintendo emulator.   Supports up to 4 SNES joypads using the SNESKey adapter.  All 4 joypads on the one adapter.
MAME:  Multi Arcade machine emulator:  This is a special, totally UNSUPPORTED release of MAME 0.33final.   This is a specially compiled version that has SNES Pad support using an experimental copy of Allegro.  This special version has been made available to us by Kerry High.  Supports up to 4 SNES joypads using the SNESKey adapter.  All 4 joypads on the one adapter.  Supports use of LPT 1, 2 or 3.
