Akane is the dominant girl character on Ranma
1/2. People like her because she's the main character, but I'm not so fond
of her. Sure she's cute, but her character is not very sympathetic. She
gets angry very easily and it's usually because of Ranma Saotome.

Akane Tendo is engaged to Ranma by their selfish
parents Soun Tendo and Genma Saotome. Akane hates Ranma for being such
a pervert even though Ranma is not. Akane loves to cook and she managed
to pass the test of boiling water from the cooking book left by her late
mother. Akane's cooking is hated by everyone on the entire Ranma cast.
The food she cooks become burnt and disgusting. Ranma would rather die
than eating any more of Akane's cooking. Akane practices The Anything Goes
Martial Arts, but she's not the best girl fighter in Ranma 1/2. Shampoo
is of course. Akane is usually seen trying to brake a piece of wood board
in the training room.
