The Aemon is the supreme commander of the Sons of Aemon. He (or she) has ultimate authority in all matters of the Clan. He has the right to promote, and demote, regardless of kill tally. He has the right to enlist or banish anyone within his command.

The Aemon is a more tactical position. He is not required to do battle as all other ranks are required to do. He is in command and control of the Clan, which means it is his responsibility to oversee the day to day running of the Clan, to settle disputes quickly and fairly and to call the War Council together to discuss matters of warfare.

The Aemon is elected to his position by the War Council. History shows that the oldest and most experienced Clan members are usually elected to this position. If the Aemon falls isto disrepute through either poor commanding, tactics or leadership. The War Council has the right to challenge the Aemons leadership and replace him with a Clan member of adequate standing. The challenge is held initially within the War Council. If a majority vote demands the Aemons removal, the dispute is then opened to all Clan members with voting priveledges. If a majority of a 2/3rds vote is reached by all Clan members with voting priveledges, the Aemon is removed from office and a new Aemon is voted by the Clan. The new Aemon must be sitting on the War Council to be eligible for election to the position of Aemon.
