What Equipment Will I Need?...
Brushes
When painting, the most important equipment is the brushes. This may seem stupid, but good quality brushes always make a difference. In my experience, trying to use brushes not made by Games Workshop is not right. I'm not trying to sell Games Workshop brushes here though! I'm just giving good advice. Games Workshop brushes seem to last longer and with a bit of care, the tip always stays in good nick.
This in mind, look after your brushes! After painting wash them in some soapy water and they'll be fine. Do not wash them in hot water! Because the bristles will fall out. If you don't look after your brushes then you will end up painting with a coloured stick! And it will cost loads in brushes!

Paints
Paints are obviously essential, but you do not need every single paint to be a good painter. To start off with it is best to get the starter paint set from Games Workshop. From the on you can add to your paint collection as you need certain colours. You will find that you will only commonly use half of the colours on sale. See the colour chart for advice on selecting colours for your armies and projects.

This is about all you need to start painting except for models. Other modelling equipment is detailed in the Tools Section.
