That is the best way to paint faces for rank and file troops, but a more realistic method is below. Now paint as many shades as you can (about seven or eight) up to Dwarf Flesh. The more shades you use the smoother the blending will be. Finally highlight up to Elf flesh using as many shades possible (about seven or eight).
