The inaugural Medieval fest was a hypothetical invasion of Britain by a combined French and Swedish Army.

The combined the DBM armies of Doug Lefler and Jim Esler provided the invaders while Wim Oudshoorn's War of the Roses Britons were defending. We used a Massive 5'x20' table.

The Combatants revealed.

 

The English Lords look upon the advancing invaders.

 

Seeing the Mighty host arrayed aginast them, the Britons make an offer to the dice gods, beseeching their intervention.

MAny mercenaries were in the English Army here are some Crossbowmen advancing to attack.

The English launch a spoiling attack, hoping to deal swiftly with the Invaders Cavalry.

 

The spoiling attack was less than sucessfull here the French are cutting off the Right Wing of the English army.

 

Jaqueri of little use in actual fighting, attempting to move behind the English right.

 

The English on the left await the oncoming hordes of Swedish infantry, the hand of God can be seen assisting the invaders.
