Mission 8 - The Trial of Tassadar
Tassadar has surrendered to the Judicator, he is being held in a stasis cell on Aiur, Jim Raynor and Fenix have decided to release him. You must fight your way through to him and destroy the stasis cell.

To start bring your number of Probes up to 15, warp in the basic structures and then warp in 12 Dragoons, place six on each entrance, now you can begin to warp in the advanced structures. Using Raynor in his Battlecruiser make an occasional sally downwards using the Yamoto gun to destroy the Photon Csnnons, then retreat him, hit and run. You can inflict quite a lot of damage in this manner for very little risk.

Once you have all the advanced structures you can begin to build your attack force, upgrade where you can when you feel you can afford it.

Warp in a carrier and four Scouts, these will be your air defences, keep them at the bottom corner of your base, near the minerals, the Conclave troops will use this point to rally, so when they bring up their Reavers you can destroy them before they become a problem. Warp in a couple of Templar and three Reavers and bring in another 10-15 Zealots. The first base you are going to take will be the one to the left of you. To do this move forward with one of your Templar along the top of the map until you see a group of five Zealots, hit them with three Psychic Storms, you may have to retreat once, but that should take care of them. Now bring one of your Reavers along the top of the map and take out the Photon Cannons, keep your Dragoons from the nearest gate close to the Reavers to provide protection. Once you have destroyed all the Photon Cannons you can bring forward your Templar to take out their Zealots. Now bring up your Zealots and all of the Dragoons you have on the right side of your base, in combination with the Reavers and Zealots you can take out the base very easily. Using your Scouts patrol around the outside of your base and down to the little ridge just below your base, in this manner you can destroy the Reavers and Zealots that are sent to harry you before they can cause any significant damage.

For the second base on your side of the water do exactly the same, build your Reavers up to three and then bring down all the Dragoons you can spare and build. Use two Templar together, if they both cast a Psychic Storm at the same target then the target will almost certainly die straight away, even if it is something as large as a Carrier. Once you have both bases build a Nexus at each and harvest the available resources.

Increase your Reavers to three and your Templar to four and warp in a Shuttle, three Carriers and three Scouts. Now take your four Templar to here and cast Psychic Storm on the Dragoons:

You now have a staging area for your army and another valuable source of vespene gas. Build a Nexus and an Assimilator here and at your top base build another Gateway. You are now able to begin your assault. Build enough pylons so that you have the maximum troop number of 200. Now leave five Dragoons at each of your bases as defences and move the rest of your troops to your new base on the right of the map. Your force should consist of 24 Dragoons, 12 Zealots, four Templar, three Reavers, five Scouts and three Carriers. This may seem like a large force but it is entirely necessary as the Conclave base is very well defended and contains a lot of troops. There is only one entrance to the Conclave base: from here you have to move to the heavily guarded base entrance actual:

Once in you have to deal with masses of air support.

Move your troops in, use the Zealots first and cover them with the Dragoons, bring the Carriers and Scouts in over the top of the Dragoons to increase their effectiveness and lastly roll the Reavers in to deal with buildings. Keep your Templar back for a short while and once the battle is in full swing bring them in to deal with any troops. Once you have managed to make an entrance into the Conclave base you will see Tassadar in stasis, clear the area of threatening troops and then blow the hell out of the stasis pod, Tassadar will be released and the victory will be yours.
