Mission 7 - The Trump Card
The data disks you grabbed in mission 4 turned out not to have weapons schematics on them as first thought, they turned out to be the plans for a psi emitter designed to attract the Zerg. You have to get the psi emitter to the beacon in the Confederate camp to win. This is a massively difficult mission, the sheer power of the forces up against you are many times what you have faced so far, but then again the units and equipment at your disposal are far superior to those previously.

You will start with Kerrigan between two buildings, make these buildings lift of and fly down the map, then move Kerrigan and your men down as well. Land your buildings near your command centre and cloak Kerrigan. Move Kerrigan down toward your supply depots at the bottom of the screen, move your Marines away from this point. Now move Kerrigan up the ramp, fire lockdown on the siege tank and blow it up, now destroy all the Marines atop this little ridge, uncloak Kerrigan and move her back to your base. Set your SCVs to harvesting crystals and build another five SCVs. You will want to defend the entrances to your base well, so on all three of them place two bunkers filled with Marines and two missile turrets like this:

While you are doing this build six supply depots on the large open space at the bottom of your base:

Now build four more SCVs, making sure to repair any structures that take damage in the early Wraith assaults on your base. Construct and refinery, academy, factory machine shop, starport control tower and start to upgrade your weapons and armour and develop siege tank ability at the machine shop. You will notice that now you have a science facility you can upgrade your weapons and armour to level three although this does become expensive. You do not have an awful lot of resources to hand in this mission so you will have to claim the minerals at the bottom, where you had two supply depots. To do this you will need eight men, four Siege Tanks and a command centre like this:

Now you need a siege tank at the two top entrances, this will bolster you bunkers giving them much needed support in some of the more pressing engagements. Now develop the cloaking field and more powerful reactor for the Wraiths and build five more SCVs at your bottom base, build an refinery there and start harvesting gas and crystals. Now that you have plenty of resources build four more supply depots with the rest and an armoury so you can begin to upgrade your vehicle and ship weapons and armour. Now build yourself a group of five Wraiths, its time to go harry the enemy.

Let your Wraiths charge up to full cloaking energy and then move them to the middle entrance to your base, if you follow the road up you will find a large sign of some sort. Past this is a ridge, atop this ridge there is lots of enemy units that are unprotected from cloaked ships.

Be careful of their commsatt station, if you see blue spark appear around your ships it means that they've pierced your cloaking an that you are vulnerable to attack, thankfully they can only do this a few time and it doesn't last very long. Once you've destroyed that small band and perhaps had a bit of a rampage over the top of the map it is time to start preparing your attack. Build four more supply stations with the rest, build six Siege Tanks and six Goliaths, you will also need two Science Vessels.

When you have your force ready take your four tanks by your second command centre out of siege mode and move them up the ramp, put them in siege mode in this position and get and SCV to build to missile turrets, like this:

This should take care of one missile turret and any troops making their way along the pass. Now move up your other tanks along with the Goliaths, don't focus them on one target, just let them deal with what occurs, keep a Science vessel with them to uncover any cloaked units. Now arrange your tanks in siege mode with the Goliaths as below, and keeping the Science vessel behind the lines of tanks and Goliaths.

Have two SCVs handy to effect repairs when they become necessary. This small force can act as you beachhead, all you need to do now is to build and advancing force, for this you will need six more Siege Tanks, six more Goliaths and bring your Wraiths forward. With the added range of your cloaked Wraiths you will finds your Siege Tanks can fire a lot further, destroying the enemy before they can get close. Arrange your other six Goliaths and Siege Tanks like below:

Now you can bring up your other force in the same way, placing them in the same manner slightly further up, this way you can cover the approach of one squad whilst the other get dug in. Keep your Wraiths handy but don't go too far with them, they are ideal for cloaking and increasing your Siege Tank's range. Once you have manoeuvred your units into this position all you need to do is move up the SCV that is holding the psi emitter and victory is once again yours.
