    Mission 2 - The Egression
The Swarm is leaving Tarsonis and it is your job to move the Chrysalis to the beacon. The remains of the Protoss fleet are still on Tarsonis so you have to defeat their forces and bring your troops past them or through them so that you can escape into space. The safety of the Chrysalis is paramount so you have been given some fully powered up Hydralisks to help you protect your prize.

Firstly you are going to have to spawn about 15 Drones, get these harvesting the minerals and morph one of them into an Extractor and set about six of your Drones harvesting the gas. Now you are going to have to work fairly quickly as there are a hell of a lot of Protoss on this level. Morph Creep colonies around the perimeter of you Hive Cluster, four should be enough, space them evenly and once their Creep has spread as far as it can morph them into Sunken colonies. Spawn four Drones to replace them. Now next to your Spawning Pool morph a Hydralisk Den and an Evolution Chamber and once you have an Evolution Chamber morph your central Creep Colony into a Spore Colony. Now you can start to morph Hydralisks, you are going to need about 20 to start off with, gather them at the bottom of your Hive Cluster.

There are a few Protoss just below your Hydralisks, your Hydralisks will probably get a little carried away and attack these, as long as you have about ten Hydralisks you should be alright. The next little group is just below you again, they may not look that difficult but the Protoss are the hardest of the races, so the small group below will be able to do an awful lot of damage.

The best way to proceed here is to use one of your Hydralisks as a lure and try to bring the Protoss to you, that way you can take them out quite nicely with your 20 Hydralisks. Casualties here will be quite high as the Protoss reinforce their positions rather well, but keep with it and keep you Hydralisk under control and you should be fine. Start upgrading at the Hydralisk Den and the Evolution Chamber and hold your Hydralisks out of the way to regenerate.

Reinforce your right flank with about six Hydralisks and then mutate one of your Hatcheries into a Lair, this will allow you to start mutating Mutalisks giving you an air force. Morph about another 18 Hydralisks and send them down to the bottom of your Hive Cluster. Now move your Hydralisks down to the Protoss base below, be careful to move slowly and hold your position once you have cleared a path.

Once you have destroyed this small Protoss force move your troops to the entrance below, this is where the main Protoss force resides so you are in effect blocking his troops movements. Now wait for the Hunter Killers to come under your control for this to happen you need to morph a Spire and pick up the Chrysalis with a Drone.

Once you have the Hunter Killers in your power move them to the ramp next to your main army and then move them along the ridge toward the beacon killing everything in your path. It should now be safe for you to move the Drone with the Chrysalis to the beacon gaining another victory for the Zerg Swarm.
