    Zerg Mission Strategies

Mission 4 - Agent of the Swarm
The Chrysalis rapidly approaches maturation, its psionics are attracting more and more enemies of the Swarm to Char. You must protect the Chrysalis until it hatches, once it has your new mission will become apparent. Morph three more Drones immediately, set two to mining the crystals with your first three Drones and allow your free Drone to harvest the gas. Move your four Hydralisks between your Spore Colony and the Sunken Colony to repel any attacks.

Now morph six more Drones set four to harvesting crystals, one to harvesting vespene gas and mutate one into a Creep Colony. Now morph another three Drones and morph a Spawning Pool, Hydralisk Den and Evolution Chamber as below.

Now move all your forces to the right and prepare to accept an assault from the Terrans, as the Chrysalis reaches maturation and prepares to hatch you will face a rather nasty assault. Once the Chrysalis is hatched and your buildings are mutated then morph the Creep Colony at the bottom right of your Hive Cluster into a Spore Colony.

Now mutate your Hatchery into a Lair and morph 20 Hydralisks, start upgrading your Hydralisks and Overlords and begin upgrading at the Evolution Chamber as well.

Your first move is to secure more vespene gas as the supply near your Hive Cluster is pretty poor. The nearest supply is down and to the right of your Hive Cluster across the sea of lava. To secure this supply you are going to need Mutalisks to protect your Hydralisk stuffed Overlords. Morph a Spire and more Creep Colonies above your Hive Cluster.

Morph five Mutalisks to act as protection for your Overlords, then fill four Overlords with Hydralisks and two Drones. Move this troop down to the little island and set up a Hive Cluster.

Now move your Mutalisks back to your original Hive Cluster and morph six Drones to harvest your new supply of vespene gas. Mutate a Queen's Nest next to your first Hatchery and evolve the special powers, start upgrading your fliers at the Spire as well. Increase your number of Mutalisks to 12 and move them to the stop of the screen, slowly move them to the right and take out the missile turret, then retreat to regenerate. The gap you have blown in the Terran air defences should be enough for you to sneak a Queen up to spawn a Broodling in one of the Terran troops, do this for a while and you should be able to cause quite a lot of damage. Try to keep the number of Hydralisks at your first Hive Cluster at about 20 as they are there to protect Kerrigan. Alternate your attacks between the Queens and the Mutalisks remembering to pull back if you become too injured. Try to take out the factory, as once this is gone they will lose interest in that areas, giving you a staging platform from which to launch your attack.

Once you have destroyed everything down to the Terran armoury then start to ferry across Hydralisks to the clear area. Bring over as many Hydralisk as you can, ideally about 25 should suffice as long as they have the air support of your Mutalisks.

If you can, try to infest the Terran command centre near Raynor's this will distract the Terrans and really annoy them, won't do much good, but it is fun.

By moving your troops in three groups, two of Hydralisk and one of Mutalisks, you will be able to move down, taking out the missile turrets with the Hydralisks before they can damage your Mutalisks and dealing with the tanks with your Mutalisks. Proceed straight to the command centre, you cannot be killed before you destroy it, victory will be yours.
