    Mission 7 - The Culling
The cerebrate Zasz has been utterly destroyed by the Protoss, his brood, the Garm brood, has run amok and is threatening the Hive Cluster, you must destroy every last remnant of his brood before it can cause any further damage.

Move your Hydralisks and Mutalisks directly up and destroy the little base there. This shouldn't prove to be a problem, just move your squad slowly and focus your attacks on individual creatures. Once you have destroyed everything in the base morph your own Hive Cluster. Set up a Hatchery, Extractor and if your quick enough you should be able to morph a Creep Colony on the rapidly contracting Creep. Whilst this is going on use your Mutalisks to attack the base to your left, stay quite low down on the Hive Cluster as there is a Spore Colony at the top. Three Hydralisks should Attack you; they will attack one at a time, draw them down away from the centre of their Hive Cluster by shooting them and retreating, again don't be drawn into their Hive Cluster. By staying on the outskirts you should be able to destroy several of their Sunken colonies clearing the way for you next attack with you Hydralisks.

Once your Hatchery is built morph six more Drones and set them to harvesting the crystals. Morph one Creep Colony as far to the left of your Hive Cluster as you can, if you weren't quick enough in getting your first Colony up then you will need to morph one on the outskirts of Creep from your Hatchery and then morph one as far left as possible, then morph one at the far right. Morph a Spawning Pool and then mutate all of your Creep colonies into Sunken colonies. Now mutate a Hydralisk Den and morph six more Hydralisks and 12 Zerglings. Using your Mutalisks, Hydralisks and Zerglings attack the Hive Cluster to your left, by concentrating your fire on one creature or Sunken/Spore Colony at a time you can deal with it quicker and take less overall damage.

Leave the remains of your force in situ to deal with anymore approaching Garm, now morph 24 more Hydralisks, leave 12 in your Hive Cluster as defence and move the other 12 to reinforce the remains of your first squad. You will need to morph at least another six Drones to harvest vespene gas. By your Extractor morph two more Creep colonies, also you will need an Evolution Chamber. Mutate the two Creep colonies to spore colonies and morph another six Drones for harvesting, move one Drone to where the left Garm Hive Cluster was and morph a Hatchery. Begin to upgrade at your Hydralisk Den and Evolution Chamber.

This will hold off just about anything that comes down that narrow pass, except of course for an Ultralisk, but that isn't for a while yet.

At your second Hive Cluster spawn six more Drones and get them harvesting the gas and crystals available, now spawn three more and morph them into Creep colonies and then mutate them into a refinery and two Sunken Colonies.

Now move your Hydralisks from this Hive Cluster upwards toward the ramp, hold them at the top of the ramp and reinforce them with another six of their kind.

Mutate one of your Hatcheries into a Lair and reinforce the right of your Hive Cluster with another six Hydralisks, within a short time you will be attacked by an Ultralisk, if you have enough Hydralisks (and you will) you probably won't even lose a single one.

Very soon your vespene gas is going to run out, the nearest and easiest to get is to the north of your second Hive Cluster, so morph a Spire and a Queen's Nest and upgrade your Overlords at the Lair. Start upgrading at both the Queen's Nest and the Spire, as soon as you have finished upgrading your Overlords mutate your Lair into a Hive.

Now upgrade your Spire into a greater Spire and morph 12 Hydralisks and increase your number of Mutalisks to six, once you have a greater Spire evolve these into their Guardian aspect. Put your 12 Hydralisks into three Overlords and move them and your Guardians to the platform above your second Hive Cluster, this is your staging area for your next attack.

Use your Guardians first as they have more range than anything else, take out the spore colonies and then the Sunken colonies. Once you have used the Guardians to take out everything then bring the Hydralisks on, these are you holding force, they will protect your Drone while it builds a Hatchery. Now load two Drones into an Overlord and unload them with the Hydralisks. Spawn a Hatchery and an Extractor, then morph six Drones to harvest the vespene gas.

It may look rather badly defended, however there will be a lot of Hydralisks underground. Now you need to build a Defiler Mound, upgrade fully, build three Defilers and evolve burrow at the Hive. Spawn 18 more Mutalisks and evolve six of them into their Guardian aspect. Now clear the way to the Hive Cluster with the Guardians using the Mutalisks as air protection, don't go too close to the Hive Cluster, just close enough to bring your Defilers forward. Now cast a dark swarm around the perimeter of the Hive Cluster using your Defilers, burrow them and bring your Guardians forward, as long as they are inside the swarm they are invisible, or they will be as long as you take out the spore colonies from a distance. Once the spore colonies have been dealt with hold the Guardians in the middle of the Hive Cluster and bring your Mutalisks forward to deal with any air attacks. Once everything in the Hive Cluster is dead and the area is secure bring forward a Drone and build a Hatchery.

Morph all you remaining Mutalisks into Guardians and spawn another eight Mutalisks. Move your Hydralisk from the right of your Hive Cluster upwards to this new Hatchery and ready yourself for the final assault.

Using your Defilers cast plague upon the two Sunken colonies at the top of your new Hatchery, now destroy these with your Guardians. Moving your Guardians forward remember to keep them covered using your Hydralisks and Mutalisks. Slowly work your way along the Creep the Guardians should be powerful enough to destroy everything on the ground before it becomes too dangerous but they need protection from airborne assault. The Creep will act as a guide, showing you where everything is just follow it and kill everything that appears.

The last outpost of the Garm brood is up upon a little plateau:

I'm sure you can deal with this little force to gain the victory, but if you can't here's how, morph more Hydralisks and surround the plateau with them, this will take care of the Scourges. Once this is done bring on the Guardians and just pound everything from a distance, sacrifice a Mutalisk to find out exactly is on the plateau, or rather to gain the range, disposing of this shouldn't be problem.
