This campaign is an allied campaign for Panzer General. The player commands an US core from Torch 1942 to Berlin 1945. The campaign uses the maps from the original PG game. You can play now the scenes from the other side with an american core and in same scenes english, french and polish auxilary units. used the original equipment file and mapnames file, so now change to the panzer.exe file must NOT made!
now you can play the american campaign for PG but read also the scenes description below:
One big problem making campaigns for Panzer General is the hard coded campaign path. It is not possible to change this.I can change all, the date, the nations and so on but in the campaign mode after scene 2 (in the original Warschau) follows in the case of a major victory scene 3 and in the case of minor victory follows scene 4. This is not changable and the player must live with that.
So the campaign tree for the US mini campaign is so:
. .
In the 5. scenes (cobra outbreak) the player can not buy nor upgrade units
for his core. The reason is that the program sets the date to 1940.In
all other scenes i
can set the date in the game???.scn files, but not in the 5.scenes. I think
this is 'hard coded' in the panzer.exe file. If anyone knows
a bugfix please tell
it to me!

-
We have changed the
installation system in some Campaigns.
-
You must copy the
file "CPCowboy.exe" in the root directory
for
game for instance C:\ PG or
the one you have.
-
Run
the file and a new subfolder will be automatically created.
For
instance C:\ PG \COWBOY
-
Here the important
advantage: You CAN SHARE A SINGLE
INSTALLATION
of your PG program...for lot of different Campaings.
When you
want to launch the Original PG...just run the PG.bat
file in
C:\ PG
but if you want to play the custom one...then launch the Game
from
Cowboy.bat inside C:\ PG \COWBOY
-
If your System Crash
while playing...you will find the original game files...
inside
Sub-Folders named "Bak" (if they exist, it doesnt means that you
have
lost anything...in fact they exist in order
to protect you against game
files
loses.
