 Rollercoaster Tycoon
Have you ever seen a show on TV about rollercoaster designs and said "I can do better"? Here's your chance to prove it. Run your own theme park with Rollercoaster Tycoon. Build all kinds of coasters, from wooden to verticle. Add a reverse power lauch if you want. Or maybe boost right out of the station. Go for height, speed, or even nausea. But that's not all that goes into making a great amusement park. Make sure you're pulling in enough guests, and keeping them well-fed, and what if they just drank the 40-ounce coke? They gotta have somewhere to go. If you dont have this game, where ya been? Go get it now, or
My personal favorite game, and maybe not as well-known as the others on this site. If you're a big Star Wars fan, and have ever wanted to personally crush the rebellion or stop the Empire's tyranny, you'll love this game. It offers the chance to fight as either side, and conquer the universe. But it's not as easy as it sounds. Should you take the planet by force, or by more diplomatic means? Will the people be well-protected from the enemy, or will they fall victim to the opponent? Assault the planet or slowly saboutage it? It's up to you. While there is a lot of micromanagement, it isn't ever a burden. If it does bother you, tell your helper droid to handle it I strongly urge anyone slightly interested in Strategy and Star Wars to buy this game or
 Baldur's Gate
I only recommend this game for those of you who are familiar with role-playing games, as it is mainly based on Dungeons & Dragons. Even if you dont know about it, the iterface is fairly simple, and you can learn and enjoy the game like any other. This game contains about 40 hours of gameplay, so it'll keep you busy for a while. Plus the expansion adds a lot of nice features and offers many extra adventures. Follow your character through the thrilling saga as he becomes a hero, and learns of his dark heritage (no, it's not a Star Wars rip-off, far from it). While it lasts for a while, once you've gone through the game, you cant play it again the same way. Once you know what happens, it just isn't as fun. Still, I enjoyed this game, but I recommend trying it first before you buy it.
If you like my Riddle page, you'll love Myst. While two sequels have been published, I wanna focus on the original game. Myst offers a new type of gameplay. Instead of trying to kill enemies, there are none. The whole game consists of trying to unravel the mystery presented. You start knowing nothing, but quickly pick up on what is happening. I strongly disadvise cheating in this game. Standard codes dont exist, and looking up the answers to puzzles ruins the whole game. Scattered riddles and clues throughout the game make Myst truely intriguing. Enjoy the beautiful artwork and music as you journey throught the worlds of Myst.
