The Sequel to my First Story between Lara and Sara!
About 6 months after the X-over…
Sara begins to feels bad about the whole incident where the Witchblade wants to control her every doing, she took a day off and spent sometime at home thinking and reflecting how she would be if she didn't have the Witchblade. She though for a while and finds that it's pointless to fantasize and picked up her remote control and began to watch TV. She begins to feel "Normal as a Human" while just watching TV and ignoring about the hectic workload at the station and the Witchblade.
A while later, Jake called and asked if Sara was fine at home. Feeling Miserable and wants to talk it out, She asked Jake out to the Nearby Starbucks to talk about her and the Witchblade. So she got ready and went off the meeting place.
Meanwhile, after weeks of Lara's searching, she ended up here in the States. As she was walking down the streets, something caught her eyes; it was the Arcade Center. She looked in and saw a little boy playing the latest shooting game called the "Lost World" The little boy was terribly beaten by the Dinosaurs in the game. Feeling the challenge, she went in and played the game. Instead of picking up 1 pistol, she picked up both of the pistols for 1st and 2nd player and began the play. (As usual, the Lara Croft style holding to 2 guns) Everyone began to surround her to watch how great she was in that game.
(After 10 minutes) "Shoots, that is all!!! (She completes the game and expects for more tougher ones) Those Dino were kinda realistic but I have dealt with the real and tougher ones back at China." Upon saying this all the bystanders left and though she was insane! At this moment, Lara reached into her pocket and realize that her wallet was missing! Someone must have taken it when the crowd was leaving. She looks to the Exit and saw the suspicious man who began to run. Lara began to chase him down.
At this time, Sara and Jake was settling down for a cup of iced Expresso and Mocha. They started talking about meaningless things cos it is hard to bring up about the Witchblade to Jake. At that moment when Sara feels the courage to speck, She saw from far a ridiculous person jumping up and around the cars chasing someone. She ran to check it out with Jake and…
Lara got to the thief as he ran into a dead end. He threatens Lara with a hand gun where at this moment, A shot was heard, Jake shot right at the side of the thief where he drops the hand gun out of fear. Lara went forward to pick up her wallet while Sara went to pick up the handgun.
"Sara is that you… It's me, Lara! What a coincident!" Then there were laughers, cheers and greetings where Jake arrested and took the thief back to the station for his crimes.
At the Station, Sara was talking to Lara at the café after reporting about the stolen wallet, Sara asked why would she be doing here in the states without telling her that she may go and pick her up at the airport. So here is her story…
(About 4 months later after the debut fiction I wrote)
As usual, Lara went to the jungle in Africa to find yet another ancient artifact trusting that everything would be fine back at England. To her amazement when she returns home, All her servants were killed and the place was ransacked. Understand that Lara's home is well protected and secured and that somehow, someone was able to get in without detected to cause this much chaos. This person/s must be a professional. She checked her secret room where all the treasures are laid but found that nothing was missing, obviously those intruders had not discover this secret place. But deep down Lara's heart, she feels anger and bitterness as all her servants were killed, in her mind at that moment, she wants revenge! Scouting the mansion, she found a survivor, Peter, her butler, was badly bruised and was bleeding profusely. (Obviously the ransacked just happen after Lara return home) Peter could only say this "Bruce Wei…" After a while; Police came and took over. Lara, of course prefers her own investigation, went off to search who this Bruce guy maybe. Her search indicates that this Bruce guy maybe found in States and that is why she was here. She didn't thought about Sara because she was wondering around the states and not even knowing she was at Sara's hometown! (Yes, Lara was wondering aimlessly b-cos she has no clues about this Bruce guy and this 'Bruce guy happens to be someone…ar…mysterious like his…Dad)
Upon hearing this, Sara nods her head and says, I know whom this Bruce guy you are talking about, his name is Bruce Wilder. The son of Ken Irons!! Instead of being angry, Lara was very surprise. "What could he possibly want? After what we have done to his Father, does he wants Revenge?" Sara was not sure but 1 thing she knows is that after meeting Lara here, Bruce might just get what he was planning all this while. Waiting for a chance that Lara would find Sara then his opportunity to strike the both of them.
Quickly, they rush off from the police station to check into a Hotel, which they think it's much safer there. Indeed it was a good decision but Bruce has his plan B, poor Jake, he happens to be the bait. Jake was badly beaten up and a mysterious call was directed to the ladies room saying that if they don't come to Rialto at 12 midnight, Jake will die!!! Sara started to panic as she already lost her closest friend Michael Yee there and she definitely doesn't want to lose another one because of her, she picks up her Pistol and marched off. Lara stop her and explained that She would also want Bruce to pay for what he has done to her but this is definitely Bruce's ploy! If we move on like this, We are going to his trap! We need a very good plan. They sat down and thought seriously and…
It's 10 minutes before midnight and they could think of any good plan besides getting Jake out of danger and escape! (Duh …to think that they would come up with a cool plan huh!) So they went in.
"You are early ladies! I was expecting that you would be late trying to think of a very good idea on how to save your dear friend Jake so you would not stop to entertain me tonight. Well since you are already here, let's begin the duel!" spoken from the arrogant Bruce Wilder.
"Wait, where is Jake!" asked the anxious Sara. Pointing upwards, slowing Jake was lower to the stage by a cable, which has already started burning! "If you can get pass me and try to save him before the cables break off before he falls and die, consider you win! If not, too bad someone has to pay the price!"
Without a minute, Lara went off to save Jake, jumping over Bruce and running toward Jake, "Sara, you deal with him while I try to save Jake" Then she landed into a pool of grease where Lara slides off and went into a trap designed by Bruce. Inside the trap, there were lots of poisonous Spiders and Snakes! Knowing the characteristic of those wild things, Lara try not to move where she was so close to them already.
"Lara!…" Shouted Sara.
"So it is left with you and me Sara, I will try my best to accomplish what my father can't!" upon saying this, Bruce begins to psyche up and there was lots of 'Aura' like energy that surrounds him.
"Don't worry about me Sara, run, try to save yourself" and Jake passes off giving Sara the advantage to use her Witchblade to fight against Bruce. There was a fierce battle where Sara can't really win at all cos Bruce is too smart for Sara.
Knowing that Sara was no match for Bruce alone, Lara try to think something that would free her and joint Sara in her fight with Bruce, So she slowly moved her hands and reach for her Uzi and started firing. Then, all those wild things that were near her began to flee due to the loud sound, bright lights and the smelly smokes. When she was at safer situation, She began to pick up her Rocket Launcher and started aiming at Wilder. Knowing that Sara was close to him, she hesitated to fire waiting for the right moment. (Idea taken due to my recent completion of the both Leon and Claire in the English version of Resident Evil 2!!! That game rocks!)
Saw that Lara was aiming at Bruce and herself, she shouted "Now, Lara!!!" Taking great efforts to aim, she says "Goodbye loser, this is for what you have done to me and Jake!" Than there were explosions. Both Sara and Bruce got hit by the effects of the explosion but Sara was in better condition cause the Witchblade Surrounds her like a cocoon but Jake was badly bruised so he jump off to escape. "It will not rest so easily, ladies, I will be back!" and he is gone for good now!
"Jake!!!" the cables are almost burnt off but he was secured by the tentacles of the Witchblade. They left the scene which was infested by Police and Jake was taken to the Hospital immediately, before he went into the ambulance, he utter something to Sara about the Witchblade and then he pass off, I guess in the end, Jake finally got to know about Sara's Witchblade! Without Sara telling him.
The next day, Sara sent Lara to the airport and even after much persuasion, Lara insisted on leaving immediately because a lot of things are left undone back at England but she promise to return to the States as soon as possible once she get things done. And there she goes… After she left, Sara got a beeper message call where she was needed at this scene, guess that there is a never-ending job for a detective.
Will there be another Sequel where Bruce promise that this was not the end… Will Bruce joint hand with his missing Father, Ken Irons?? Well see… Maybe a mysterious person may come in a help Lara and Sara. Someone who controls the water element around her…
