The Results The Players The Armies Top Lists

Congratulations to Peter Stone for winning Caesar's Challenge this year. Despite having come close in previous events, this was Peter's first tournament win. Running a close second and third were the Watson brothers, Charles and Marcus. This year's tournament saw a record forty players enter making it the largest DBM tournament held so far in Victoria. Six players were competiting in a tournament for the first time, and numerous new armies making their tournament debut.

(left)  Marcus Watson - Third place,

Players who deserve a special mention; Damien Pooley (6th), Ian Sharp (7th), Daniel Jackson (8th) and Jason Macaulay (9th), all of whom are relatively new to the tournament circuit. All finished in the top ten, having defeated more experienced opponents in the process and gaining Championship points for the state rankings. Congratulations! We were also pleased to have three interstate guests attend this year; Brad Del Munns (Cancon 2000 ACC winner), Darryl Hills and Jason Williams (all from NSW.) They didn't fair too well so I hope they enjoyed themselves anyway (I know Brad was still in "relax" mode from Cancon.)

On behalf all the players, I'd like to thank Brian Hall, Wayne Eaton and WSGA minions for running this event. Since "Napoleons" ceased to support and run this event it has fallen back onto these guys to keep it going, despite not having an active interest in DBM.
