Andrew Walliker (left) using Marian Romans in his first tournament against John Metcalf and Seleucids.	The Seleucid phalanx is pinned by skirmishers and Roman light horse (foreground) are turning their flank. Despite this, Seleucid cavalry swept away the Roman flanks to win the battle 10-0.
Brad Del Munns with Later Acheamenid Persian historically paired against Andrew Silk with Alexandrian Macedonian.	We all thought Brad was quite brave to run an entire command of Cv(I) with his Persian (left foreground). I think he probably agreed. Persians got their revenge here with Alex going down 1-9.
Chris Pooley with his barbarous Huns against Darryl Hills using Suevi (Early Frankish). Dazzler is looking a little unimpressed and unprepared as Chris brings on a flank march.	Darryl's Wb(S) taking refuge on a hill while skirmishing Hunnic light horse pin down the rest of his army. Hunnic flank march appears in top right corner. Huns win 9-1.

David Smith from country Victoria with Patrician Romans against Glenn Harvey with late Imperial Romans.	I would safely guess the LIR Auxilia in the foreground are about to get run down by Patrician Foederati Kn(F). Glenn Harvey lost this game 3-7 but not without inflicting heavy losses on his opponent.
The Watson & Watson duel. Both top favourites for the tournament, they fought each other to an indecisive 6-4 draw. Charles (left) with Han and Marcus (right) with Ch'in.	The Han Chinese (deployed right) are about to wipe out the Ch'in left flank in the top left corner. The remainder of the battle was fought out indecisively over the hill in the foreground.

Rob Jackson debuting his Later Carthaginians against Martin Morgan and his Gauls.	Martin's Gallic hordes staring across no-man's land to the Carthaginian battle line of auxilia and cavalry. Despite getting good matchups, Rob was caught out by a Gallic flank march of Spanish allies.

An excellent shot of crooked battlelines with Parthians (left) under Jason Williams, and Graeco Bactrians commanded by Django Upton. The Bactrians appear to have "kinked" their lines in preparation for the Kn(X) charging in.	Peter Stone (left) using Early Cathaginian against Richard Stubbs with Polybian Roman. An extremely close battle which ended 10-0 in Peter's favour catapulting him into first place going into round 4.
