SW_Topflight had an interesting problem when he installed CFSII. The game installed ok but when he ran the game he got an "Invalid Page Fault In Module CFS2.exe"
After uninstalling and reinstalling a number of times as well as uninstalling CFS1, it turned out that CFSII installation files in the  Windows/Temp directory needed to be deleted. So keep that in mind if you have similar problems.

RAF_Nello is working on a CFSII version of MultiSwap/Configga. This should be available once the beta testers have finished testing it.

Combat Flight Simulator II is now available in Australia. Microsoft Australia tells me so far it is available from some Harvey Norman stores as well as Harris Technology and Derek Jones. Retail price is AU$99.00.

CFSII has only just been released and there is a no cd crack available already. Judging by the lack of numbers in the CFSII rooms on the zone I'd say it will be a while before it is as popular as CFS.

Anybody got a Dell laptop?

And I thought the battery was an integral part of the laptop.

Well finally CFSII is on shelves in some stores in the States. The Zone has opened the CFSII rooms at http://www.zone.com/cfs2 , I see they have a High Bandwidth Room, obviously for cable users,don't know whether it is honour based  or whether it doesn't let you in if your latency is bad.

I've been busy sitting online exams at Tekmetrics. You're probably wondering what I'm talking about. Tekmetrics is a website which does online exams for a range of topics, from Windows NT Administrator to Computer Industry Knowledge. It is not only for technology though. By now you're thinking "yeah right, what good are they, anyone can cheat on the internet". Wrong! you have a set time for each question and believe me some of them are not easy. If you pass you will receive a genuine certificate with your name on. I do not know anywhere else ehere you can sit free exams and receive a certificate to verify you passed. Tekmetrics.com

These are some of the exams I've done. So if you've got nothing to do, give them a go, you'll either fail or receive a certificate in the mail.

RCAF_GunsJmd formerly GunsJmmd has created an addon for BRunHost which allows players to all CFS objects to be flyable, ie SW_Anzac can pilot a destroyer while SW_Duke can pilot a cargo ship while the rest of us try to blow them out of the water. You can get it from here.

CommCentral is already planning the next CFS convention, obviously all help and ideas will be appreciated.

I've now got an internet connection at work and when I'm not busy I've been logging onto the zone. It's been a long time since I've been on the zone on a weekday and am totally surprised that Ridge Runners is still usually full and Furball has over 100 in it. The biggest difference is the number of names I've never seen before.

Looks like CFS1 still has a lot of mileage in it still.

Well it's coming up to a month since I won a copy of CFS2 Beta from Combatfs.com and it still hasn't turned up. Murphys Law says it will turn up on about the 22th of this month, a couple of days after the release of CFS2. As many of you  will know, CFS2 went gold the other day.
    Sad news from Air Buddha (Roger Dial) his hard drive died with all his projects on it. You guessed it, no backup.
