Some people think, it's very important to know, which game has the best graphic engine, the best special effects, the best soundtrack,... If you are of this kind, too, then there is no need for you to read any further. But if you want to know, which are the best roleplaying games for the PC ever made, then this is the right page for you! To avoid any misunderstandings: I am not a fan of games with ASCII-graphics and PC-speaker sound. It's o.k., if a good roleplaying game has good graphics and good sound. But unfortunately there are a lot of so-called "roleplaying games" which are indeed only action-shooters like QUAKE or UNREAL. A roleplaying game doesn't need brilliant graphics to be a brilliant game - it needs a good story, good riddles and tough monsters!
