Call Someone Up for a Battle
If you have a cellular phone, you can battle anyone in the world by calling them. You plug the cell phone into your GameBoy (somehow) and then call someone up for a battle. From what I understand the numbers are used. Either that or some kind of sound wave is sent from your GameBoy.
As you may already know, GameBoy Advanced is coming, which is a new version of GameBoy. This GameBoy might have a place to plug in your cell phone.
Uh Oh
In Japan, almost everyone has a cell phone. It's common to see a six year old with a cell phone in Japan. But in the U.S. we don't have that many cell phones, so most people won't be able to use the new feature. But Nintendo is trying to find a way to use a normal phone to call someone. That would be kinda hard, but they have plenty of time as we all enjoy Gold and Silver some more. Crystal hasn't even been released in Japan yet.
