GAMES

Free Games! Do you know a better thing than a free and good game?

O Homem-Pássaro (The Bird-Man)

It's finally available the greatest and best game we have developed: O Homem-Pássaro.

This game, for Windows 95, was made with Visual Basic 6 and it uses advanced sound resources from Direct Sound (from DirectX pack), very good animation technics and it's very playable. (Learn how to do these things in Patrice Scribe's page: Visual Basic Area 51).

O Homem-Pássaro uses joystick (Visual Basic doesn't have this resource) and when you are playing with keyboard, you could use the diagonals (Visual Basic DOESN'T HAVE this resource TOO :))) ).

It has a language option (in the main screen, you should click in "Opções..." button - Portuguese is the default language. In the "Opções" window, click in English.dat on the "Idioma" frame, then click in the OK button).

If you know another language, you can edit the "English.dat" or "Português.dat" file (with Windows' Notepad, for example) on the "Idiomas" folder, mantaining the commas symbles (") at the beginning and at the end of wich word (or phrase) and saving it with the LanguageName.dat format (Italiano.dat, Español.dat for example) on the "Idiomas" folder. Please send the file to me... :))

This game requires a Pentium 100 with 16 MB RAM machine, DirectX (at least version 2) and the DLL from Visual Basic 6 (if you don't have VB6 in your computer).

O Homem-Pássaro is freeware too, so you can download it now.

To people who don't have DirectX (or just don't have a sound card), it's available a file with no sound version of the game.

But if you have DirectX, you should download the sound complement of Homem-Pássaro and unzip then in the same folder of no sound pack.

hpnosfx.zip (805 KB) Basic module without sound
hp.zip (568 KB) Complement of the above, with the sounds
vb6dlls.zip (872 KB) Necessary DLL to run the game

Super Grand Prix (Made with Clipper 5!)

No! That's not a joke!!! The game was made with... CLIPPER!!!!!

It's a simple car racing game, but made with Clipper! Clipper doesn't have graphical mode. Super Grand Prix was made with ASCII characters only.

It is a game for MS-DOS and it's freeware too. You can download it now.

supergp.zip (94 KB)

Quick Basic Games

These games were made with Microsoft QuickBasic (MS-DOS). They're too old games (and resourceless), but they prove when we have desire (and time) insn't impossible to transpose programming language obstructions.

They're recommended for who - like me and a lot of people :) - is fanatic for the old 'n good QuickBasic.

They aren't executable files. So, you must have the Microsoft Quick Basic in you computer and run them from it.

You can download them in a .ZIP-format file containing all games, or just download them separately.

All (.ZIP format - 29 KB) All games below in one pack
canhao2.bas (20 KB) Ship game, like Space Invaders
forca.bas (55 KB) Hang man game
pacman.bas (80 KB) Clone of the classic PacMan. Very cool!
supergp.bas (52 KB) Car racing game

Pac-Man 32

Who has never played this game? Sure, I've played this game many times too, since the prehistoric Atari 2600 version.

This version, for Windows 95, was developed in 1996 by me, in a partnership with my brother (graphical arts, quality cares, opinions, and other boring things... ;) ), and it has various musics, good playing, beautiful and varied backgrounds, etc.

Though this game isn't a sophisticate game, it was developed with basic programming technics (like superimposed picture boxes, MCI to play MIDIs, API from Wimm.dll to play Waves, etc). Due to this, don't hope that this game runs well in a computer lower than a 486 DX2.

Pac-Man 32 was developed whith Microsoft Visual Basic 5.0. So you will need to download a VB's DLLs (if you don't have VB5 in your computer) and copy the DLLs to the game's folder, or copy them to System folder.

If you copy the DLLs to the System folder, you won't need to clone the DLLs in the folder of which VB5 program.

This game is freeware, so it's FREE. You can download it now!

pacman32.zip (672 KB) Compressed pack with the game
vb5dlls.zip (744 KB) Necessary DLL to run the game

Canhão 3

Do you remember of Space Invaders? Canhão 3 is a game of the same style, but with only one "ship". It was the first game I've developed for Windows, then it's a game technicaly worth :( . It runs in Windows 3.x. and don't need a powerful computer...

This game is freeware, so it's FREE. You can download it now!
