NesToy is a NES ROM management utility for your .NES Nintendo/Famicom ROMs. NesToy, using a database, can identify your NES ROMs and optionally repair any bad headers it finds and rename the ROMs to full descriptive long file names. NesToy has tons of options you can customize to fit your needs and preferences.
You can now always reach the NesToy homepage by going to http://romcollectors.cjb.net.
If a Game Hack is not in NesToy's database,
NesToy may identify it as a (Bad CHR). Please submit these to
me so that I may add them to the database
in a future version of NesToy.
NesToy now identifies a good dump of just about every known ROM released, not including translations, pirates, hacks, etc. There are still lots of alternate versions of ROMs out there and I am working on determining the differences between them and the version NesToy detects. I will update the NesToy database when these differences are known.
With every release of NesToy, I try to add many new features and options. This can result in new bugs creeping in that did not exist before. If you encounter any bugs or strange anomalies, please e-mail me and let me know what the bug is and what you were doing when you encountered it. My e-mail address is at the bottom of the page.
You can now abort NesToy by pressing ESC.
NesToy will finish up whatever it is doing and then exit. Please
try to avoid hitting CTRL-C. I have hopefully fixed all the problems
caused by using CTRL-C, but ESC is a much better and cleaner way
of exiting NesToy.
