 Past Scenery Tips

Ok. now I know I haven't been doing any thing with this web site lately. That's right, I've been working my *ss off on this site, by myself  the whole summer! But enough of the small talk. I've got a new tip for ya. you are going to need a warhammer tower or something equivalent like a scratch built one the ones from the warhammer castle work the best. Just call up mail order and they can get you the pieces right away. any ways. You will also need some thin strips of balsa wood about 1/4 inch thick. I'll let you decide how long. depending on the width your tower . basically what you are doing is building a balcony for your tower. You will also need some support beams for the balcony they need to be a little thicker than the other pieces of balsa wood. The balcony should stick out about 1 or 2 inches away from the tower but allow the balcony to touch the tower. Glue all the balsa wood together to fit your tower. Then paint it. Then glue it to your tower. You are probably going to want to go with a dark brown color. Now you can really go in-depth with these folks. You can make stairs, ladders, and a fence  to go around your balcony also. You could also do all four side of your tower hence a walk around. Just make sure you make you balcony wide enough to fit a model on it. Presto you have a watch tower or scout tower as cynath would say.

If you like blood and gore than this is great for you.
What I will tell you how to make is a small scenic battle with dead bodies laying around and blood and gore and heads and ... other gruesome things.

First what you need to do is cut out a piece of card board about 9 inches by 5 inches. Then paint it green or what ever color to match your flock on your table. Then pour glue on the cardboard and spread it out then sprinkle some flock onto the cardboard so that you can't see anymore glue. Then let that dry. Now you need to use those extra models you have like a skeleton warrior. You can also use whatever figures you want (On mine I have dead Chaos and lizerdmen, with a crashed Chaos chariot on it. And some dented shields and body parts.) Now you need to chop off a leg of whatever species your gonna use. lets use a goblin for an example. Get a razor blade and chop off his leg, not your finger, the goblin's leg. then paint some blood on the leg and on the body. And if you want you can take a knife, set it in a fire for
a while and then chop off the leg or arm or head or whatever (It's a lot easier to cut through plastic with a hot knife). But put lots of dead miniatures on that piece of cardboard and put some small rocks on there too. Put some busted up shields, broken wheels, Etc. Oh and paint some of the grass/flock red.

After your done you can just set it on your table or you can staple it to your table in a permanent position. Good luck and don't burn, cut, chop or brake and part of your body when doing it.
This tip is more an army like Cynath's or a Chaos, or undead, or some type of evil army. And also this is a tip for someone that uses the warhammer fortress. Im going to tell you how to make a small gallows. This is a really simple tip, you just need to buy a skeleton warrior, one twig about one inch long, and some brown thread. Then just glue the warrior together, and tie the thread around the warriors neck. And then glue the twig on top of a castle wall, or towers that the skeleton hangs out in front of the castle.

Scenery Tent

Are your troops getting shot up by archer fire? Are your archers getting creamed by those fasting riding silver helm nights ( heh heh) ? Then baby you need some cover! And have I got the thing for you! I am going to teach you how to build a fence. First take 3, 3inch twigs, 2, 1 1/2 inch twigs, and a 4 inch piece of card board ( should be about 2 in wide). paint the card board either dirt brown or grass green, goblin green also works. let it dry. Then paint on some elmers glue. Immeditly add your flock (use alot of flock). let sit for 1 half hour till dry. Then shake of excess flock. now take the 2, 1 1/2 inch twigs glue them 3 inches apart. the take the 3, 3 inch twigs and glue them horz. to the other two twigs. Make the 3inchers about a centimeter or 2 apart. use super glue for this folks it goes alot quicker. now add acouple of very small rocks or bodies or skeleton heads for taste. and presto you have some cover. ps. you can also make the twigs longer for bigger regiments and you can swap the twigs for balsa wood pieces. If you like the empire look.
