Obsession #1
Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass

You have to admit it.  It is impossible to ignore!  Alice in Wonderland has to be the weirdest book ever written.  I'm not talking the Disney movie, now.  That was way watered down, and it wasn't just Alice in Wonderland, either.  In fact, it was a mix between Alice in Wonderland and Lewis Carroll's other book, Through the looking Glass!  But, even though it was watered down, the fact is that the whole idea of it all is absurd.  Smiling cats, mad hatters, an army that consisted of a deck of cards...what was this guy on to have thought this stuff up?  Can he teach me to think like that?  But seriously now.  half the stuff in the Disney version didn't even come from Alice in Wonderland at all.  That garden of live flowers, for instance.  You won't find THAT anywhere in the book!  It's in Through the Looking Glass.  And stuff that WAS in the book, like the mock turtle's story, was nowhere to be found in Disney's version.
And all those strange songs that were in the book weren't in the movie, either.  I do know that there is another movie out there called Through the Looking Glass, which has some of the scenes that Disney didn't use.  But even that combined both books together!  And so, to limit confusion (or maybe I'm just mad) I have found the complete text of Alice in Wonderland online!  Complete with the illustrations that were in the book!  Just how sad and obsessed can I possibly be?  Not as much as the person who took the time to type this up, that's for sure.  But enough that I also found the text to Through the Looking Glass as well!  Unfortnately, this does not have the illustrations, but that hardly matters.  As soon as I can, I'll find a site with them all for ya!
Beware the Jabberwock!

Hatters From All Over!!!

The Mad Hatter is my favorite character in the story.
Lots of other people have used his image in movies, shows, and videos.
Here are some of the ones I have found.

The new Alice in Wonderland, starring Martin Short as the Mad hatter, airs on Feburary 28th!

Who can forget the villan from the cartoon "Batman"?  He's supurb!

Ah yes...Tom Petty's video for "Don't Come Around Here No More" has a great Alice in Wonderland theme.
