Joe McGaha-Lead Singer, Lance White-Lead Guitar, Jorge Toruņo -Drums, Tom Purk Bass Guitar, Frank Chen-Rhythm Guitar If rock is dead, it is because no one has heard of the Orange County based-quintet, X-Addict. The story begins when five ambitious musicians developed a love for Rock n' Roll. While going separate directions with music, it was only a matter of time before fate would bring them all together. It seemed that "time was all the luck they needed." For the past two years, front man Joe McGaha formed a band know as Bukket (http://listen.to/bukket). The band got serious fast, getting known around the area for energetic shows that were comprised of popular cover songs along with innovative originals. After a while the band experienced growing pains within. It seemed that the Joe was in for more than just an occasional hobby, and instead wanted to pursue his dream as a full time career. Meanwhile on the other side of the country the same thing was happening to Lance White (Lead Guitar). In Cincinnati, Ohio Lance was in Klubber Lang (http://klubberlang.iuma.com), one of Ohio's favorite bands. Klubber Lang had finally called it quits and Lance decided to head to California to find musicians with the same love of the music he had. After collaborating for a while, they added Lance's long time writing partner, Jorge Toruņo (Drums) to the mix. This exploded into a bunch of original material. Soon they brought in Tom Purk (Bass) and Frank Chen (Rhythm Guitar) to complete their line up. It didn't take long for the band to gel, and get serious about their dream. By having a vast majority of influences ranging from Blues to Classic Rock, Southern Rock and even Country to name a few, it is only obvious that the band would develop a unique sound. With hard hitting and driving beats along with great hooks and melodies their music is best described as plain old Rock n' Roll. With an explosive live set filled with the latest modern rock hits and all-time favorites that are mixed among their own original material. Just as fate has brought them together it is their fate that will guide their destinies, as they proceed in fulfilling their Rock n' Roll dream. | |||||||||||||||||||
