Shin was dead none of them could believe it. It just wasn’t possible. Shin the one who was always the one to try and cheer others us to put a good face on things. But not anymore now he was dead, it was harsh but true, and even as the words were said they all knew it even if they didn’t want to admit it even to themselves.

None of them wanted to believe anything to except any of it, yet it had been almost two whole days now since the funeral. Since they’d laid Shin’s body and spirit to rest or so they hoped...

She watched them with slitted eyes as they all climbed out of the car it was their first stop of the night. A clue called "Let’s Get Down" ~How original~ she rolled her eyes wondering what had possessed them to go out on this night of all nights not that she minded of course. Oh no they were playing right into her hands this was too easy oh way too easy and an evil little smile played across her blood red lips as she brushed her dark hair out of her face her almost black-blue eyes held a hidden malice as she stepped out from behind the tree in the nearby park. She adjusted her tight leather skirt that had a tendency to ride up whenever she moved, and glanced down at her soft black boots that came up to just above the knee ending almost a full five or more inches below her skirt line, their turn out covered with a graceful weave of silver embroider. She pulled a compact out of her purse and quickly check her make up for the last time slipping a silver chain around her long slender neck and making sure her hair was up well enough that it would stand up to some heavy dancing at least for a while... Another one would be hers this night of that she was sure which she did not know all she knew was that one of them would die and this time his blood would be on her hands... With that she moved into the line out side the club just in time to see them go in ahead of her...

"HEY RYO!!!" The dark haired warrior looked up as Seiji sidled over to take the seat next to him at the bar that had just been vacated by an already rather drunk American.

"What?"asked Ryo just loud enough that Seiji could hear him over the din from the dance floor behind them.

"Water,"said Seiji to the bar tender who just raised an eye brow and tossed him a cup.

"Go get it out of the bath room,"he yelled moving to serve someone else.

"Water?"asked Ryo raising an eye brow in surprise.

Seiji shrugged,"You run up a thirst when ya dance. I wanted some water first then I was gonna order something else,"he glared pointedly at the bar tender then raised his voice a little more,"But now I don’t think I will, I think I’ll get my drink after we leave this place."

Ryo laughed,"What happened ta Touma, and Shu?"

"Don’t know,"Seiji glanced around the room for their two companions who were no where to be seen.

"Oh well I hope they’ve about had enough of this place,"Ryo swallowed the last of his drink with a sigh,"Cause all the smoke in this place is giving me a head ache!"

"I know,"Seiji grimaces as a couple of ring blown, dudes moved past behind him,"Where we headed next? Any ideas?"

"How ‘bout ‘Nasty Angels’?"Ryo offered with a smile.

"Sounds good,"Seiji agreed,"That’s one of the better places around town."

"Now all we gotta do is find Shu and Touma,"Ryo stood up and Seiji followed suit the two of them weaving their way through the crowed keeping their eyes peeled for their comrades.

"Hey Shu!!"

"WHAT?" Shu yelled back to be heard over the loud music.

"I’m gonna take a bath room break,"replied Touma turning to slowly work his way towards the edge of the dance floor. Shu watched him go with a shrug, and looked around for someone to dance with. It wasn’t bad dancing with Touma now and then but the blue haired archer always seemed to be one step ahead of him and some times that made Shu feel a little made not that he really minded that much. Just some times he like to dance with someone who danced more at his own pace that was all. Then he saw her an auburn haired girl, with a short red vinyl skirt on, and slightly too much make up but she had a perty smile and of all people she was dancing by her self.

"Hey there beautiful?"he said with a little grin,"You mind dancing with a big offe like me for a while?"

"Course no handsome,"she laughed batting her eyes with a grin...

Touma sighed as he kicked the crooked stall door open and headed towards the sink which he hoped worked better then the latrine had. Gingerly he reached out keeping well away from it as he turned the water on letting out a sigh of relief as it sputtered and then began spouting lean water. Giving his hands a shake Touma whipped them on his black jeans and turns as the door opened in surprise to see a not so shabby looking girl standing there. She took one look at him and blinked in surprise.

"Oh I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to it’s just here a rather long line at the girls rest rooms and I..."her voice trailed off as Touma laughed.

"S’Okay beautiful,"he said grinning,"If ya want I’ll watched the door and make sure no one comes in till you’re done?"

"Would you?"she asked a look of intense gratitude in her eyes.

"Course,"he shrugged as she moved past him and steps gingerly into the stall closing the door behind her...

"Hey what’s you’re name?"

"Who me?"Touma asked and then immediately blushed feeling rather stupid and he was glad she couldn’t see him.

"Ya who else?"she replied with a little laugh.

"Touma,"he said,"What about you? Or should I just call you beautiful?"

"Suck up,"the toilet flushed,"Or maybe you’re just a sweat guy, you can call me Kali, unless you prefer beautiful,"she opened the stall door and moved over to the sink,"God does all the equipment in this place not work?"

"The sink works but that’s about it,"Touma said watching her as she quickly washed her hands and turned to him with a little smile brushing a strand of dark hair out of her face.

"You wana get out of this place?"she asked a hopeful look in her eyes, as she moved a little closer slipping her arm through his,"Have a drink.... My treat?"

"Hhmm I don’t know,"Touma opened the door and they stepped back out into the loud club,"I’m here with a group of friends, don’t know if they appreciate me running off on them."

"Oh,"she pulled away with a down cast look sticking her lower lip out,"I’m sorry I didn’t know."

"S’Okay,"Touma said pulling her back,"Let’s go I just gotta tell me friends not to expect me around for a while."

"You mean it?"Kali said looking up at him with the smile of smiles.

"Course I do!!"

"Thank you,"she put her head on his shoulder and Touma glanced down at her with a slightly surprised look...

"Think nothing of it,"he said, pulling away slightly reluctantly,"I’ll meet you out side."

"All right,"Kila called back after him, with a smile, before she turned and hurried towards the door. ~This was going rather well.~ her smile widened ~Or rather better then she had thought it would.~

"Come on,"Kila called with a smile as Touma came out of the bar,"My cars just down this way a little bit."

"Okay,"he jogged light over to where she stood, a lop sided grin on his face, his dark blue hair hanging down into his eyes. despight his attempts to brush it back.

"Did you tell your friends?"

"Yep."

"What did they have to say?"

"Awe,"he shrugged slipping his arm around her waist after a slight hesitation,"They were cool about it."

"Good,"she put her head on his shoulder,"I wouldn’t want them to be upset that I stole their friend for the evening."

"They couldn’t have stopped me anyway,"he laughed,"I wanted to come."

"Really,"she laughed softly in the cool night air, the sound almost lost under the blare of the speakers all around them.

"Really!" They continued walking on for a about another three blokes before they stopped. Kila glanced around a puzzled look on her face as she bit her lower lip.

"I know it was around here somewhere,"she muttered,"But..."

"What does your car look like?"

"Umm, little dark purple car, with a silver stripe down the sides, and a star on the hood."

"Okay,"he moved down the street,"You go that way I’ll go this way."

"Sure,"but she didn’t move as she watched him move off into the fog that had settled in the street around them, an evil smile spread across her ruby red lips. Her dark eyes were hard, and mercy less as she seemed to slide through the mist to the other side of the street keen eyes picking out his movement even through the fog.

"Soon my blue haired friend,"she murmured to herself,"Soon you will die!!"

"KILA!!!" She paused at the sound of his voice as he came back towards her, she stepped back into the shadows of the ally way. "KILA!!!!"

"Aaaaa...."

"Kila?"

"Over here Touma,"she called in a pain filled voice.

"Where?"

"Near the ally,"she paused kneeling on the ground bent over one ankle,"Hurry!"

"Hang on just a sec I’m coming,"she could hear his foot steps as he came towards her being careful to watch where he was stepping.

"Right here."

"What happened?"he asked concern and perhaps a hint of pity in his eyes as he bent down a little closer.

"I think I...."she took in a sharp breath as he touched her hand which was wrapped around her ankle,"broke my....ankle!!"

"Let me take a lo....." her anger lashed out as she pulled the dagger out of the top of the boot she had been wearing. The pity in his eyes feeding the flame as she pushed him back dagger in her hand eyes flashing.

"Where was that pity when it was needed?"she sneered,"Where was that concern when you killed them Hashiba Touma!!"

"What are you talking ab....." He started to get up from where had fallen confusion written all over his face.

"Don’t move,"she growled kicking him back down,"You know what I’m talking about!!"

"Kila!!"

"That is not my name,"she spat her foot connecting with his side as he rolled away from here with a wince, staggering back into the alleyway half on his feet half on his knees,"And it never was!"

"Then wha...."

"My name is Kaua,"she whispered throwing him back against the wet ally wall her face practically in his,"AND you killed them all!!!"

"WHO!" He cried his eyes still puzzled as they met her dark ones.

"You don’t even remember,"she stepped back letting him go tears welled up in her eyes,"You don’t even remember what the hell you did!"

"Then tell me?" He started forward then quickly moved back as she raised flashing eyes to him moving the dagger threateningly.

"All those people, you couldn’t stop them. You and your friends you were too late, too late to stop what you started!"

"Oh god!" His eyes went wide in surprise, and he leaned back against the wall,"You were there?"

"Hai."

"But how everyone was dead?"

"Not everyone you just wish that everyone had been dead because if everyone had been dead then you wouldn’t have to remember you all of you could just go on. Go on and forget what happened, what happened because you didn’t get there fast enough to stop it!" she spat the tears gone now replaced only by the anger.

"You killed him didn’t you,"he whispered his eyes raising again,"You killed Shin, and you’re going to try and kill the rest of us aren’t you."

"I won’t try,"she growled baring her teeth like a wild animal,"I will!"

"I’m sorry,"he said,"I’m sorry."

"Shit,"she laughed a dry laugh,"Because of you they all died and all you can say is your sorry,"she laughed even harder. Quick as lightening her laughter vanished and her gaze became hard as diamonds, she lept forward dagger out. Touma lurched to the side still too stunned by what he had realized to see what was coming as the dagger dug into the flesh of his side.

"Damn,"he hissed,"Did you have to...." He brought up his arm just in time to catch the dagger on it, instead of something else.

"If you just stand still this will be a whole hell of a lot earlier and less pain full,"she muttered.

"And ya like you expect me to do that,"he spat back,"Like hell I will."

"Good cause hell is where you are going."

"Maybe,"he laughed, the dagger nicking his sick in again,"But not yet. So lay off,"he knocked her had away again,"I don’t want to hurt you."

"Too bad,"she growled,"Cause I want to hurt you!!" Suddenly Touma found himself with his back against the wall, and the point of her dagger at his throat.

"Nani!"

"Time to die little Trooper # 2,"she grinned.

"Kaua, wait,"he gasped brining his hand up to grasp her hand,"You don’t know wha....." But it was too late, the sharp blade touched skin and went deeper. His body jerked violently, and his eyes went even wider in shock this time then they had before she noted in vague surprise.

"Why...."he whispered as she stepped back and he took a lurching step forward before stumbling to his knees....

"Because the fates demand it,"she said airily tossing the bloody dagger down beside him. It mad no difference they would never find her. But they would find him she smiled slightly as she moved away down the fog filled streets, oh yes they would find him....
