Hi, this fic is pretty dark... so if you don't like dark fics then turn back. But I guarantee you all that it has a happy ending... Inu-Yasha screamed and with a mighty slash of the Tetsusaiga he cut Hiten's Lightning staff and his skull. "You..." He saw his staff split into two halves and felt the pain as the blood began pooling out of his head. "Eh...?!" "The great Hiten... Has lost?... To a half-breed?!" Was his last thoughts before his body transformed into mist and disappeared. Inu-Yasha, still with the Tetsusaiga raised stood and watched as Hiten's clothes fell to the ground soundlessly. *KIIINNN* It sounded and the three Shikon shards fell to the ground also. "Whoops! The shikon shard!" Myouga jumped towards them and gathered them up in his arms. He then turned to Inu-Yasha who had collapsed on the ground with his head hunched low. "M-m-my lord...?" He asked the wounded demon carefully. "Save the respect" Inu-Yasha said in a pained voice. "" He looked miserable and pained. "Inu-Yasha..." He turned towards the speaker "Ka... Kagome...?" Kagome were holding Shippou and seemed to be surrounded by a white light. Her hair was flowing and if it weren't for that she and Shippou was missing pigment then he would have thought they were alive. "Th-those must be..." Myouga said hopping onto Inu-Yasha's shoulder. "Their Ghosts! Coming to say... *snif* their final farewells..." Myouga said and tears began streaming from his eyes. Inu-Yasha turned his eyes towards him "Then..." He then turned back to Kagome "This is the end...?" Kagome was smiling and calmly said "Inu-Yasha... Thank you for everything." Then Shippou said "Same here... my dad's soul can rest in peace now..." Then with a start the wind began blowing upwards showing that they had to go. Inu-Yasha began running towards them and screamed with a pained voice " NO! WAIT! DON'T GO!!!" Inu-Yasha didn't care about his wounds on the outside right now, He was hurting more inside and couldn't let her leave him , he just couldn't let her die! And even though she was dead he wasn't going to allow her to leave him. He reached for her hand as if to hold her back from going.. keep her there... but his hand just went through... he couldn't keep her there... no matter what he did! "" He watched as her soul and Shippou's disappeared away and then there was nothing... nothing to live for... nothing... He collapsed on the ground beside her dead body... yes, she was dead. He would never be able to see her laugh again, to see her smile again. Never be able to argue with her again, to see her leaving him for her time, he would never ge able to hear the sound of her voice again. He cradled her body in his arms and began crying... he hadn't been crying since his mother died... he truly loved Kagome... and wanted nothing else than to follow her into the next world. He took his untransformed Tetsusaiga and held it before him. It would be so easy to just end it right there, to be with her forever. He looked down at Kagome's pale body. "Kagome..." He said. She had said her farewell to him... but he wasn't ready to say farewell to her, he wanted to be with her. He held his sword to his throat... and then he moved it down to where his heart was. He was ready to end his life, he knew he had nothing to live for anymore... he wanted to end his life. He thrust the sword inside of his chest. Pain... but not for long... soon, he'd be with his angel... forever... His body fell to the ground on top of Kagome's... then it disappeared into mist. Myouga looked on with tears in his eyes "M'lord... you truly did love her..." He said and started wandering towards the village. He would have to tell Kaede where Kagome's body was... Inu-Yasha was floating in a bright light, he looked around but could see nothing. Then he felt her... Kagome's presence. He turned to look up... and there she was... all dressed in white and with wings... she was an angel. Inu-Yasha smiled and reached out his hand. She took it and lead him away into the bright light... into the land of everlasting happiness...
