Hello, this is one of my first Slayers fanfics (nods head) It's quite... it don't know what to call it... some may call it depressing, some might call it boring. I honestly really don't know, since I wrote it in school it has to be pretty dull, ne? Oh well... Please enjoy the fic (If that is possible) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Goodbye Humanity It is dark around me, around me in this dark forest. I have to concentrate not to run into low branches and trip over big roots. The bushes is slamming against my body and hurting me, I don't have time to run around them, I have to hurry... or it'll be too late. My hair is flowing behind it. A few hair has gotten stuck in my mouth, I don't have time to wipe them away, I don't even have time to think about it. My cape has been ripped at many places now, ripped on a branch there and another here. My boots feels like they are becoming heavier and heavier all the time... I'm getting tired, but I have to hurry... or it'll be to late. There is no stars out... and the moon i nowhere in sight... it's dark... too dark... but then again, why would this night have any light? I'm starting to breathe heavy, I'm not used to running this far, especially not at night. A pain is starting to form all over my legs and feet. I've gotten cuts all over my arms and I've got blood pouring from them, I don't have time to bother, I don't have time to tend them. I continue to rush as fast as I can... why am I running you're asking? It's for a very important reason.. and they'll probably die if I don't to this... if don't get there in time... they'll get killed... by him. I shut my eyes and try to hold back the tears, that was a bad idea. I slam into a branch and fall to the ground. I curse and raise from the ground, clutching my head in one of my hands. The world is spinning and I'm trying to regain my balance. I starts running again, it's still a little blurry but I'm able to see everything around me. I can feel a droplet of blood running down my face. "Damn" I say as I realize I hit my head quite hard, I don't have time to worry about time, I don't have time to worry about anything... except getting there. I finally arrive to a clearing. Suddenly I can see the moon and the stars, I've never seen the starts glow so bright before... why...? Why are they shinning like that...? Don't they know that this is a night of darkness, a night of evil? I stare at the stars in hatred. Then the moon begins shining even more brightly and it casts it's light all over the clearing. I walk to the middle of the clearing and look around me, am I at the right place? or have I come to the wrong? No... I can feel his presence here... feel his evil presence. "I know you're here, you can come out" I say and place my hands at my hips, I try not to sound afraid... even though I know he knows that I am. He steps out of the shadows and smile at me, it's an evil smile... a smile that I've learned to hate. "Hello... Lina-chan" He says and reveal his eyes. His eyes... they're special all right, and evil... in fact, I've never seen him with open eyes and looking kind at the same time... I guess that your eyes truly reflect your own soul. "Where are they?" I ask him, a simple question... if I use any longer sentences than I know that the fear will show. He smiles "Where are who?" He asks me. I hate him for the way he is... but there was a time where I didn't hate him, when I didn't know about all his evil... Sure, I knew he was evil, all of them are. But... I thought that maybe he was a little different.... I was wrong. "You know who!" I snap at him. "He smiles yet again and snaps his fingers. Suddenly all of them appear a bit away from us, they're all sleeping. "Release them" I tell him, he smiles and wags his finger. "First... you'll have to do what you promised" He tells me. I glare at him in hatred "If I do that... you won't let them go" "Maybe... maybe not" He replies. "We'll se what you want to do with them afterward, maybe you don't want to set them free after I'm done with you" He smiles even more. "I'd want to say goodbye to them first" I tell him. He cooks his head to the side. "Why not?" He says and snaps his fingers again, and they awaken. Zel is the first one to rise of them, and then Gourry and lastly Amelia. I watch them as they look around, Zelgadiss is the first one who remembered what happened. He tried to run to us but the is stopped by an invisible barrier. "LINA! Don't do it!" He screams at me, I can't hold back the tears. A tear slides down my face as I watch them yelling at me not to do it. Xelloss watches me, I don't really know is that was a frown on his face when he saw my tear... I must've imagined it. "Ne Lina-chan, shall we get on with it?" He asks me, his smile is back on his face. I nod. Then the world blacks out around me. "Goodbye Humanity, Goodday Mazoku" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hrmm... I don't know what to say... except that it ain't the best I've written. And... I hope that you... well... that you won't hate me to much now... oh well...
