This Site contains Anderson Research Documents I found recently while visiting the Virginia State Library and Archives. This is very small portion of what you may find at the Library. I felt these documents would be of interest to Anderson Lines doing research in this area of Virginia.

While there is much research material to be found about these Anderson s, the information tieing the family lines together is missing. Many records, it is believed, were burned in the Civil War when Hanover County sent many of their documents to Richmond for safe keeping. The Union Soldiers burned Richmond which resulted in many of Hanovers records being destroyed in the fire.

If any of these old publications are still copyrighted, please notify me and I will pull the ones in question from the site.

...Warning...
You will find many documents on this Web Site that do not agree with each other. The authors of these documents were struggling and trying to reconcile all these Anderson families just like we are today. So don't just accept what you read in these documents as fact until you have verified the information.
