Hi, I'm Ed Thorson.
You might know me from PongLife as the "letters to Ed" guy, or you may have even read my newsletter Dormant. But mostly, around the OE offices, I'm known as "The Dull Guy". Don't ask me why. I'm not that dull (at least from my perspective.) And I'm not particularly fond of the label.

I was born in San Jose, CA on June 5th, 1973. I now reside in Portland, Or where I work as a dishwasher/busboy/sometimes waiter/everything else in my parent's resteraunt. The work's OK, but it's not exactly a business I want to inherit.
I met my current NO_PAY employer, Ben Johnson, about two years ago. At the time, PongLife already had an "Ed"--just not one who existed. The ED at that time was Ben, where ED had just been short for editor. When I came along, he thought it would be funny if I filled the position because of my name. Oh, the laughs we had.
Since PongLife was so incredible slow to release any issues, and also because no one ever seems to send in any letters, I quickly branched out as Junior Editor (whatever that means), and I lent my hand into the magazine wherever I could.
Finally, I've gotten credit where credit's due. The guys saw my potential and gave me my own editorship. The OE Newsletter, called Dormant. Although, the Apple IIGS was never my computer of choice (I've got an IBM clone), I see the value in continuing to support the old systems. And I also feel a small sense of pride in the fact that I am one of the handfull of people still keeping the computer alive.
