| Here is a close-up of the ORION's dagger
region by yKChia of Singapore showing the Great Orion Nebulae (M42) as
a hazy patch centre around theta1 and theta2 in the centre of the frame.
Dimmest stars ~8+ magnitude.
Image was taken in the optical zoom range, the
video shot typically lasting 10-20 seconds. The analog Hi8 video stream
is converted into AVI format using a Miro DC20 frame grabber. The best
digital frame is selected and converted into bmp/jpeg. Very little image
processing is done - slight tweak in gamma adjustment. Cropping
was done last to the final image.
