Hans used a Takahashi Mewlon 210mm f/11.5 with
eyepiece projection (Pentax XL 10.5mm)
and a JVC GR-DVX Pro Digital Camcorder
for this Jupiter image. A single frame was downloaded (bmp-file)
through the JVC docking station which takes about 5 minutes per frame.
He used automated stacking of 7 images ( least square ) then processed
the image with histogram stretching, unsharp masking, some blur filtering,
then some reduction of low intensity blue.
Seeing conditions were considered poor with only
every third or forth image showing the shadow. |
