EYES ON THE SKIES -- ROBOTIC SOLAR TELESCOPE
Live
video images of the Sun in H-alpha light from Livermore, CA. The
telescope system built and operated by Mike Rushford can be controlled
by your web browser. Also a great resource site for solar astronomy
and automated telescopes on the Internet. |

LIVE ASTROCAM IMAGES
Chuck
Faranda's live web broadcasts of lunar and planetary video images captured
with a PC23C camera and a 90mm Maksutov telescope. |

THE LUNAVISION AMATEUR ASTRONOMY PAGE
Jim
Browder maintains a WebCam page and periodically posts live images of the
moon and planets. He uses a video surveillance camera on his 10"
Newtonian and does direct capture to a Hauppauge capture card. Jim
utilizes Ulead image and video editing software to process images. |

PAUL GOELZ'S ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY PAGE
Paul
does solar, lunar and planetary live WebCam imaging with a remotely
operated 8" f/10 Meade LX200 using Earth Centered Universe software and/or
Astronomer's Control Panel, a remote control system for LX200 instruments.
The telescope is fitted with a PC23C monochrome video surveillance camera,
working primarily at prime focus. A ATI All-In-Wonder Pro video card
is used at 640 x 480 resolution and WebCam32 software is used to display
images on the web page. |

ROGER'S OBSERVATORY CAM PAGE
Roger
Hill of Milton (30 miles east of Toronoto), Ontario, Canada (W79 52 50,
N43 31 38 +600ft) periodically does live feeds from his backyard
observatory using a monochrome video surveillance camera on a C-8 SCT.
Roger uses a GrabIt Pro (Aimes Labs, now, sadly, out of business) to capture
frames to the computer and SpyCam,
written by Bill Oatman, along with SocksCap32
(NEC) to send captured images through a NT 4.0 server, which is running
a proxy server. The proxy server (JANA
Server, by Thomas Hauck) then forwards the image to the web page.
Roger's web site allows a remote web window to be opened which can be placed
on the desktop and monitored while working with other programs - nice touch! |
