On the auspicious ocassion of Diwali 2001 A.D. we have launched our site Maithili. This site is dedicated to Mithila, Maithili and Maithils.Our aim is to present the rich heritage of Mithila and Maithili language on the web and to provide a web based platform for all Maithili speakers and lovers. Our effort is to make available resources of Mithila such as Music, Tantra,Panji, Books, Authors, Folk Songs and Art on the internet and to provide a forum for meaningful interaction of all Maithili lovers.
For this effort we require all the possible resources available in Maithili.
In this regard we call upon the authors to send their books for reviewing, artists to send their creations and others to send whatever resources they
believe to be of significance to us. We will put these works on this site so
that Maithili, like other great languages, should also have an appropriate
web presence.
