Fun Backgrounds
This is more a guideline than a
tutorial. This is a fun way
to make Seamless backgrounds such as the one on this page.
I used Kang's Filters and Simple Filters to make this
background.
You can also use Filter Factory, Andrew's Filters, just
experiment
and have fun.
Open a new 200 x 200 Image,
background color doesn't matter. I
then floodfilled my new image with a Red, White, Blue and Black
Gradient. Set at 1 repeat and a 45 degree angle.
I then started playing with
filters, for this background I ended up
using Kang's #3 Waxing a Lizard Filter and then used Simple,
Zoom out and Flip. That's it. I saved it as a Tile so I could use
again.
Don't be afraid to try different
filters, sometimes I use as many as
3 or more on one image. Change the degree of the gradient,
experiment and have fun. If you don't like something just undo
and try
again. Most of all have fun!
