Inner Outer Bevel Frame
This tutorial was
originally written by Tina's Graphics Studio but is no longer
available. I do a couple of things different so rewrote it my way.
This was made in PSP 6 but should work fine in 7 with a few adjustments.
You will need the Filter Factory A filters available at http://showcase.netins.net/web/wolf359/plugins.htm
Open the graphic you want to use and resize if necessary. I resized mine to 300 in height.
Shift D to duplicate and set 1 aside for now.
You can make your background anyway you like but here's what I did.
Make your original graphic active. Now go to Image, Plugin Filters and find Filter Factory A, Mirror, Mirror.

You should now have something like below.

Now go to Edit, Copy. Open a new graphic 1024 x height of your graphic, in my case 300 in height. Background color doesn't matter but I usually use transparent. Now go to Edit, Paste as new selection and place it in the middle of the 1024 x 300 graphic as below.

Click on your Deformation Tool.
![]()
When the little handles show up as below,

Click on the left handle and stretch all the way to the left edge then do the same on the right side. Double click in your graphic and say yes to apply the deformation. You should now have something like below.

Deselect.
Make the duplicate image that we set aside earlier active. Go to Edit, Copy. Make your background image active and then go to Edit, Paste as new Layer and line it up on the left as below.

Click on your Magic Wand then click on the right side of your graphic so the ants are running around the background as below.

Now go to Selections, Invert. The ants should now be running around your graphic as below.

Now go to Selections, Modify, Contract and put in 20 or more depending on the width of your graphic. I used 20 on this, then say ok.

You should now have something like below.

Now go to Image, Effects, Inner Bevel and use the below settings.

You can save these setting as a preset by clicking on the save as button then naming and saving. This makes it easier to do again.
Now go to Image, Effects, Outer Bevel and use the below settings.

You can save these settings too.
Deselect. Your image should now look something like below.

Click on your Magic Wand and click on the right side of your graphic again to select the background then go to Selections, Invert so the ants are running around the graphic again as below.

Now go to Image, Effects, Inner Bevel and use the same settings as before.
Then go to Image, Effects, Outer Bevel and use the same settings as before.
Layers, Merge all Flatten.
Sign and Save.
