Muted Seamless Background 2
To make a background
like the one on this page you will need PSP6 and
FM Tile Tools. You can download Fm Tile Tools from
http://www.fantasticmachines.com
For this tutorial it
helps to have similar colors at the top and bottom of your
graphic and on the 2 sides.
Open the graphic you
want to use and resize if necessary. I resized this one to
300 in height.
Go to Image, Plugin
Filters and find FmTile Tools, Seamless Tile. Use the default
settings then click on apply.
Find FmTile Tools,
Seamless Tile again same settings but put a check mark by
Vertical then click Apply.
In your Layer Palette,
right click your background layer and selct, Promote to Layer.
Move the Slider to about 50 %
Go to Layers, Merge All, Flatten.
You can use as is for a web page background such as this one.
To use as a stationery
background. Open a new graphic, 1024 x 300 or height of your
graphic and flood fill with your muted seamless tile.
