Pleats 2 Tutorial

For this tutor you will need PSP, 2020 and FMTile Tools.  You can download 2020 at
http://www.hotfreeware.com and FMTile Tools at
http://www.fantasticmachines.com

Open your graphic and resize as necessary.  I try to resize to a height of 300.  Then go to Image, Sharpen, Sharpen.  

Click on the Selection Tool and set the Tool Options to Rectange or Square, Feather 0, Antialias unchecked.  Make a selection of 50x50 somewhere in your graphic as below:

Go to Edit, Copy.  

Open up 2020 and go to Edit, Paste as New Image.  Click on the Tile Effect button (8th tool down in the toolbar on the right).  Go to Edit, Copy.  You can close 2020 if you want.  

Back in PSP go to Edit, Paste as New Image and set this image aside for now.   Click on your main graphic to make it active and go to Image, Plugin Filters and find FMTile Tools, then click on Seamless Tile as below:

In the next window put a check by Vertical and click Apply as below:

Click on the Eyedropper tool and right click a color in your graphic to set it as your background color.   Go to Image, Canvas Size, I used the settings below:  Make sure the New Height is the same as your graphic.

Your image should look something like below:

Go to Image, Add Borders and use these settings:

Your image should now look something like below:

Click on your Selection Tool and use the settings below:

Now make a selection at the end of your graphic 20 pixels wide as below:

Now click on the flood fill bucket and in the Tool Options use the settings below:

Click on the Middle Tab and select the 50x50 image we made in 2020 earlier as below:

And flood fill the selection you made as below:

Go to Image, Effects, Dropshadow and use the settings below:

Go to Selections, Select none.  Click on your Selection Tool again, use same settings as before.  Make another selection over the first one but make this one only 10 pixels wide like below:  

Go to Image, Effects, Dropshadow and use the same settings as before.  Your image should look something like below:

Go to Selections, Select None.  Click on your Selection Tool again, same settings and make another selection as below:

Go to Image, Effects, Dropshadow, using the same settings as before.  You should now have something like below:

Click your Selection Tool again, same settings and make a selection as the whold width of your graphic but leaving off the top and bottom 10 borders as below:

Go to Image, Crop to Selection.  

Sign and Save.
