Comments: Incredible show! Catfish Blues is amazing and Drivin' South makes my jaw hit the floor as does this whole show. The band is so ON and you can really hear that. Little Wing receives a rare live airing. The atmosphere is really loose and the band let loose playing loud, long, and flawlessly...the jamming is amazing. Get this one!

Sound: Very good audience
Time: Approx. 70 Minutes
Set List:
Are You Experienced?, Fire, The Wind Cries Mary, Tax Free, Foxey Lady, Hey Joe, Spanish Castle Magic, Red House, Purple Haze, Wild Thing
Comments: First off, the sound is a little distorted but very clear and sounds great! The band is definitely on tonight, as the all out explosion of Are You Experienced? shows and The Wind Cries Mary is really pretty played live. Tax Free is an excellent jam and Jimi plays some manic solos in Spanish Castle Magic and a shorter than usual Red House. The feedback and distortion solo before Purple Haze is awesome.

Set List:
Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window, The Wind Cries Mary, Fire, Catfish Blues, Foxey Lady, Hey Joe, Purple Haze, Wild Thing
Comments: A very good recording which captures the rocking atmosphere of this great show! Jimi is on fire and the group plays the first string of songs with guts! Catfish Blues is a lengthy jam with amazing playing all around and Jimi and Noel make some funny comments about the south to the crowd. The end of Wild Thing is loud and dissonant and a fitting end to this great show!

Comments: From the opening blasts of Lover Man, the tone for the show is set. Red House is an incredible, long and drawn out version...just listen to the jamming here! This is probably the first ever live performance of Hear My Train A Comin', which contains some blistering guitar work, and Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window is a great cover with some nice rhythm guitar and bass interplay. Awesome show!

Sound: Good audience

Sound: Very good audience
Time: Approx. 65 Minutes
Set List:
Are You Experienced?, Fire, Hey Joe, Foxey Lady, Voodoo Child (Slight Return), Little Wing, Spanish Castle Magic, Red House, Star Spangled Banner, Purple Haze
Comments: An excellent show in front of a wild crowd. Red House and Spanish Castle Magic are excellent and Fire roars to life. The extended jam on Voodoo Child (Slight Return) rocks hard, but things are not all well. During Purple Haze, the power cuts out due to a crowd riot and the band is unable to finish the peace, leaving the already wild crowd even more restless. A shame as it was really heating up!

Comments: A killer first show. Are You Experienced? Has some great drumming and bass behind Jimi's feedback moans and Voodoo Child sounds heavy and great. Red House is amazing as always and Like a Rolling Stone is a great cover of Dylan's song that Jimi always does better! This is the fist out of 6 shows over 3 nights at Winterland, and a great start!

Comments: Another incredible gig. Tax Free is amazing, and turns into a free-form jazz improvisation that is breathtaking. All 6 are essential!

Comments: Excellent show from the start. Are You Experienced? Turns into an incredible jam with wild soloing from a friend of the group's on flute and amazing soloing from Jimi as Mitch and Noel go nuts behind this. Red House is amazing as always, and Voodoo Child is the heavy metal holocaust of this set. The set is, as are all the shows, incredible.

Set List:
Tax Free, Spanish Castle Magic, Like a Rolling Stone, Lover Man, Hey Joe, Fire, Foxey Lady, Purple Haze
Comments: Another classic show! Tax Free is a monster jam with a drum solo from Mitch and a bass solo from Noel in the middle. Both are great! A rare tune from Axis in the form of Spanish Castle Magic is played and sounds heavy and great. Lover Man flies off into space, and the rest of the show features the classic Experience energy and jams that made them such a great live band.

Set List:
Fire, Lover Man, Like a Rolling Stone, Foxey Lady, Tax Free, Hey Joe, Purple Haze, Wild Thing
Comments: An amazing show, my favorite so far! The set blasts right out of the speakers. Tax Free is an amazing jam that starts with a long bass guitar and drum jam before it begins properly, and a very dramatic intro starts off hey Joe, completely unique to this performance. Amazing sound once again and another triumph.

Comments: This last show features the most experimental set, with rare live readings of Manic Depression and Little Wing that sound great! Red House features an amazing solo running the gamut of styles from Jimi and Noel and Mitch, throughout every show, show why they are integral parts of the Experience sound. This is a killer close to an amazing series of shows!
