Radiohead: Live 1996:

Live at Roseland Ballroom, New York City, New York, April 12, 1996

Sound: Very good audience (low levels, though)

Time: Approx. 90 Minutes

Set List:

My Iron Lung, Bones, Electioneering, High and Dry, I Promise, Street Spirit (Fade Out), Planet Telex, Stop Whispering, (Nice Dream), Lucky, Lift, Creep, Anyone Can Play Guitar, Just, Blow Out, Fake Plastic Trees, Bulletproof....I Wish I Was, Lurgee, The Bends, Nobody Does It Better

Comments: A very good show, although the levels are rather low, making the music a tad distant. The playing is great, and Thom plays around with the vocals, improvising quite a bit, and it sounds great. Two new songs for the next album are played in slightly different forms and sound great.....Electioneering and Lucky. The show ends with mostly slower, beautiful songs. Lift and I Promise, two still unreleased songs, sound great.

Live at La Cigale, Paris, France, April 16, 1996

Sound: Excellent audience

Time: Approx. 90 Minutes

Set List:

My Iron Lung, Bones, High and Dry, Electioneering, Street Spirit (Fade Out), Planet Telex, (Nice Dream), Lucky, Lift, Creep, I Promise, Anyone Can Play Guitar, Just, Blow Out, Fake Plastic Trees, Bulletproof...I Wish I Was, Black Star, The Bends, Banana Co.

Comments: This is a very good show. My iron Lung starts off really softy before turning into a roaring cruncher. The contrast between the first two songs and the beautiful High and Dry is awesome, and an early version of Electioneering has a totally different middle section than the version that made it to OK Computer. There are some songs here never released on record, especially Lift, that are really excellent. Blow Out and The Bends are big highlights towards the end. I really like this show.

Live at T in the Park Festival, Glasgow, Scotland, July 31, 1996

Sound: Excellent soundboard

Time: Approx. 70 Minutes

Set List:

My Iron Lung, Anyone Can Play Guitar, Bulletproof...I Wish I Was, Planet Telex, High and Dry, Lucky, (Nice Dream), Bones, Street Spirit (Fade Out), The Bends, Just, Creep, Fake Plastic Trees, Thinking About You

Comments: This is a great sounding show that is powerful and wonderful. The band is just playing so well, and the song selection rules! My Iron Lung pounds the beginning of the show and the quieter moments of beauty are contrasted with blasts like The Bends and Bones. Great show!
