Comments: This is a really, really good early Monster tour show. There are a lot of rarely played songs, including some rocked up ones from Automatic and Out of Time, and almost all of Monster. There is a nice representation of their older material, including Disturbance At the Heron House, Orange Crush, and Finest Worksong. There is also a great version of a new song that never made it to record, but should have: Revolution. Good show.

Comments: An excellent early Monster tour show. The Monster songs sound great on stage, very powerful, and the songs from early 1990's albums Out of Time and Automatic for the People sound great in an electric, live setting. Revolution was a song intended for Hi-Fi that never made the cut, but Departure is a great song from that album that sounds great live, where it was tested for the album. The acoustic songs sound great too and there is a funny cover of Wicked Game at the end of the show. The entire show is very good and a great sow for early in the tour.

Sound: Very good audience
Time: Approx. 2 Hours
Set List:
What's the Frequency,Kenneth?, Circus Envy, Crush With Eyeliner, Drive, Me In Honey, Try Not to Breathe, I Don't Sleep,I Dream, Strange Currencies, Revolution, Tongue, Man On the Moon, Country Feedback, Monty Got a Raw Deal, Losing My Religion, So. Central Rain, Star Me Kitten, I Took Your Name, Departure, Get Up, Star 69, Let Me In, Everybody Hurts, Pop Song 89, Bang and Blame, It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)
Comments: A very good show, right after Bill's near death brain hemorrhage. Michael jokes about it, but the band is playing great. There are live rarities like Monty Got a Raw Deal and Star Me Kitten, which sound great. The set list is one of the most varied, and older songs like So.Central Rain sound great. Excellent versions of Man On the Moon, Bang and Blame......great show.
Live at Great Woods Amphitheater, Mansfield, Massachusetts, June 18, 1995
Sound: Very good audience
Time: Approx. 2 1/2 Hours
Set List:
I Don't Sleep,I Dream, What's the Frequency,Kenneth?, Crush With Eyeliner, Drive, Near Wild Heaven, Try Not to Breathe, Undertow, Welcome to the Occupation, I Took Your Name, Bang and Blame, Strange Currencies, Revolution, Tongue, Man On the Moon, Country Feedback, Losing My Religion, Orange Crush, Finest Worksong, Get Up, Let Me In, Everybody Hurts, Pop Song 89, Departure, Star 69, It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)
Comments: An excellent show in front of an enthusiastic crowd. Mike and Michael are quite vicious to some sitting crowd members in the front row and it's very funny! The electrified Drive and Try Not to Breathe sound excellent; very different and as good as their acoustic album counterparts. The slower songs are contrasted with faster songs, and the whole show is characterized by great singing (especially from Michael who sings all the parts high like the albums) and excellent playing.

Comments: This is an awesome Monster tour show. The band is really hitting the crowd hard, and the opening three numbers, besides being three of my favorite R.E.M. songs, sound great and rock hard! This is a huge outdoor festival featuring two of my other favorite bands, Blur and Radiohead. The sound is really great on this show, and the atmosphere seems real intimate for such a large crowd. Michael even gets info about someone's birthday! Losing My religion is awesome and is followed by a great Pop Song 89. This is one of my favorite Monster tour shows so far!

Central Rain, Departure, Tusk, Ghostrider, It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)
Comments: This is definitely one of the best shows from the Monster tour hands down.... just look at some of the gems in this setlist! Near Wild Heaven (although it suffers a bit vocally), Me In Honey, So. Central Rain, and the ordering of the songs...what a great set! The playing is great and the band seems to be really enjoying themselves. My favorite moments include a rocking Finest Worksong and the first 10 songs....great sequencing by the band in the set.

Comments: A really good show near the end of the tour. The song selection is very nice at the beginning, with Wake-Up Bomb and Undertow sounding really great with the rest of the Monster material. Binky the Doormat is really good too. Nice to see So. Central Rain in the set. The playing is great, and a great Departure is played right before It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine) closes this show.
