Comments: The "holy grail" of Smiths shows, and a killer one at that! First of all look at the setlist! Amazing song selections. The playing is great too. Marr's guitar is amazing...how he keeps those arpeggios and lines clean and constant is amazing, and the rhythm section is great. Andy's basslines are counterpoint half the time and Mike's drumming is hard and awesome. And Morrissey....amazing. If you only ever get one Smiths show, this has to be it!

Live at the National Ballroom, Kilburn, London, England, October 23, 1986

Sound: Excellent soundboard

Time: Approx. 90 Minutes

The Queen is Dead, Panic, Vicar in a Tutu, Ask, Rusholme Ruffians, The Boy With the Thorn In His Side, What She Said, Is It Really So Strange?, Cemetery Gates, London, I Know It's Over, The Draize Train, Still Ill, Bigmouth Strikes Again

Comments: This is a very good show with some great playing. I particularly enjoy the great version of The Queen Is Dead that opens the show and the segue into a great Panic. Cemetery Gates is awesome and What She Said cooks. A powerful Bigmouth Strikes Again ends the show. Johnny Marr's guitar work is amazing, and Morrissey is...well.... Morrissey, and wonderful!
